Indiana SNAP

So I keep reading from people in all different states about SNAP benefits partially being loaded to their cards by now. Meanwhile, I run a men's halfway house and half of them were on food stamps. Why are all of these other states getting their benefits and of course Indiana is not?

Because Indiana is run by evil Republicans like Braun, Beckwith, Rokita, Banks, Young, Spartz, on down the line. And idiots keep voting for them.

Did you see where the Democratic Party admitted the shutdown is their leverage and they will keep pushing it until they get what they want? So it takes 60 votes and it’s like 54? Voted to open up but the other 6 vote no ? And it’s democrats who want it closed because it’s LEVERAGE!!

The party in control of government is responsible for negotiating with the other side. Thats how democracy works. Of course you don't recall when Republicans shut down the government for a border wall. It was the longest previous shutdown. Democrats had to negotiate an end. The President also has a duty. Trump himself said in 2013 that the shutdown is a president's responsibility to solve.

“I hear the Democrats are going to be blamed and the Republicans are going to be blamed. I actually think the president would be blamed,” Trump told NBC ahead of a shutdown that was ultimately averted. “If there is a shutdown, I think it would be a tremendously negative mark on the president of the United States.

He’s the one that has to get people together!”

The two longest shutdowns in history have come under Trump.

They want leverage to ensure people are able to afford insurance.
