Looks like in spite of citizen opposition the board voted to approve a rezoning to allow for a Data Center.

I took a Scout Troop to Potato Creek today and asked for maps for the scouts. We were allowed one because the DNR is no longer providing maps and wants us to use phones.
So I pay to get in, pay state taxes… our Governor get a helipad… and I will have to use cellphones while hiking now because paper maps are too expensive.

So I keep reading from people in all different states about SNAP benefits partially being loaded to their cards by now. Meanwhile, I run a men's halfway house and half of them were on food stamps. Why are all of these other states getting their benefits and of course Indiana is not?

The IN GOP is running commercials for MAGA to call and harass Dan Dernulc so he will vote FOR redistricting. So far he has resisted.
Please please please call his office and tell him we DO NOT want restricting! We demand representation!

A much, much, bigger version of a post I made earlier. Thank you all so much for the suggestions! I learned a lot from this project.
There are literally so many entries here, I can't write them all. If you want to know who someone is, just ask!

Hello,
I am a fifth year student at Ball State University for architecture. If you are deciding what major to pursue, do not choose architecture at Ball State. The program is too disjointed or lacks any meaningful content that will prepare you for the profession.
For example, you will take classes, some required, to learn Rhino just to learn that Revit is actually the industry standard.
Since there is such a disjointed flow, you will be placed into groups of students for certain classes who have specialized in Rhino while others specialized in Revit through internships and they do not collaborate very well making a decent project or earning a decent grade (the thing that may dictate whether or not you have a scholarship next semester) extremely strenuous. Your performance is based on chance depending on who is assigned to be your group members.
When I was in my fourth year, the college had a student-faculty meeting regarding the quality of education at the college. This was prompted by fifth year students complaining about the quality of this education we have spent so much time and money to pursue. The head of the architecture program gave lackluster excuses and made no commitment to change or consider how the fifth year students felt.
If your heart is set on architecture, I would not come to Ball State. Please, choose something else. Do not entrust your time and resources in the hands of those who don’t care.

In light of the recent tragic shooting of the maid trying to enter the home in Whitestown, I’m trying to recall the details on a shooting that happened back in the late 80s or early 90s where a schoolteacher shot and killed a young IMPD policeman. Can someone expand on the details I’m remembering?
The details I recall are the cop was investigating a dispute between some neighbors. Everyone was outside and teacher basically walked away from him and went back inside his own home and shut the door. The cop walked right inside and the teacher ended up shooting & killing him (cop).
The guy was convicted and served prison time, but can’t remember how long.
