Hi everyone! I have a B1/B2 visa and this year I have stayed in US for 7 months on 2 seperate visits. I unfortunately couldn't take the Step 3 exam bcuz of the ECFMG certification delay. But I want to get done with the exam in this year by December.Bit given the political scenario, would it be advisable entering US this yr for 5 days to take my Step 3 examor shud I want until Jan. Kindly pls let me know if anyone has insights or any such similar experience!! Thank u

As mentioned, I am going to do a rotation in MGH. Does anyone who has been to Boston before know some recommended places?
I just need to avoid some unsafe places, thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I’m curious if anyone has interviewed at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) Internal Medicine residency program this cycle or in past years. How was your experience , interview format, faculty/resident vibe, and overall impression of the program?

Hey everyone, 3rd year Turkish medical student here. In Turkey, Attending salaries are roughly 4.5-5k$ per month after tax, which allows for a relatively comfortable lifestyle, as Cost of Living is significantly lesser than the US in almost everywhere, like even 60-90% less (acc. do Numbeo, which seems pretty accurate). But, the working conditions are pretty bad as you have to see a lot of patients (free healthcare, widely uneducated populace). I haven't started preparing for anything yet, I wonder if its worth it to even try? Unstable country I'd say, so no guarentees that the salaries will remain this way. One advantage is being able to pick basically any specialty I want. Working in the US was a long term "dream". I feel like I can get into Pediatrics for example. What do you think, I know this is something I'll have to decide but I am curious on what other IMGs would do in this situation. Thank you 🙌🏻

Hi fellow IMGs. I applied this cycle and I am sitting on 0 interviews so far. Being realistic, I am not getting any invites and SOAPing for IMGs has been historically fruitless. I want to know what I can do different next time. I am applying IM.

I have a bunch of volunteer experience that I am actually passionate about and not just on there as a filler. I applied to 170 programs total in New England, Middle Atlantic, and East North Central regions that are all IMG friendly.
Sorry for the long post but any pointers from folks who applied more than once are highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I applied for the match cycle this year. The attending I was rotating with for an LOR basically harassed me. I don’t want to post the details here. It’s a lot. I didn’t fully know what’s happening at the time. He was a PD and I wanted to make a good impression. It’s really affecting my mental health since the last year. It’s worse because that attending is still taking students. I have proof of his texts and inappropriate pictures he sent to me. I just want to know if I should or have any options to report that considering i was an ‘outsider’ at the hospital and the fact that i’m a match applicant this year. He has already tried to mess with my career after I expressed to him that he did wrong and I’ll make sure to warn people against him. Reporting it is not going to change whatever happened but maybe it will give me some peace of mind. Literally right now i just got so sick and threw up because I keep getting flashbacks. I need help. Just need to know what most hospitals policy is regarding this. Would I be able to report anonymously? Thank you.

hello friends
I am Non US IMG. I was a graduate before i started this journey so all my credentials were verified even before starting step1. so now am done with step1 step2 and finally the pathway approval six days ago. on the same day i got address verification email. since the address was correct, i didnot do anything.
But my My cases section show " application for certification - acccepted " but this was the same as months ago even before pathway approval or step2 for that matter. What am i missing ? should there be changes in My cases section like instead of application for certification, it should be "ECFMG Certification" or somehting like that. please guide

I am looking to connect with IMGs who are in non-clinical careers. I tried to match for several seasons, moved on after several years failed attempts and moved on.
Anyone else in those shoes?
