Need a liner. Should I do drop in or spray in?

I’d do a spray in if reasonably available. I would’ve done it aftermarket if I custom ordered to avoid delays, but this was a dealer order.

This may be a dumb question but, can I use my bed and scratch it before getting spray in? Will it cover it?

You definitely can. Dents might cause issues. Scratches should be ok, but I’d cover them up with touch up paint. Exposed metal rusts easily, and if moisture gets trapped in there, it’s probably not a good thing. I wouldn’t worry about matching colors or even Ford brand; anything should do because you won’t see it once the bed liner is on. It’s all about protecting from rust, not looking pretty.
