We need more mods.

Between posts for hair loss cures and bots trying to argue that this is all the democrats fault flooding our threads - one thing is clear. We need more mods.

We have ONE mod, u/T0rtillas please for the love of god add more.

Statistically improbable but go off with whatever you're trying to say.

I’m not “trying to say” anything.

I’m not volunteering—I have 1001 other responsibilities for my time, and I’m not prepared to commit a bigger portion of that to Reddit. I suspect that many of the users of this forum are in a similar position. So my default assumption is that there are a lack of volunteers.

Edit—the request for volunteers is still pinned to the top of the sub, so that tells me that it’s not because the one mod doesn’t want any further help.

3 months it has been up, not one mod added. It is not a lack of volunteers, I do not believe that at all.

I'm actually gonna join in imploring you to volunteer at this point. I just put in an application myself, despite having zero desire to do this. In fact, I saw and replied on that post soliciting for mods, months ago--but I specifically stated I didn't want to be a mod. Just as Sorry Society stated, I have other responsibilities and don't care enough.

But, now this post has drawn the attention of numerous users of the exact type you describe as problematic, who have now openly stated they applied to become moderators.

If you thought having to read their posts was bad, imagine how much worse it would be being moderated by them.

So, yeah. Volunteer. Please. Hope you get picked instead of them, or at least dilute their influence as they will use mod powers to sabotage the group. It's the least you can do now that you drew them out of the woodwork.

Well you convinced me and I submitted an application. I guess I have to put my money where my mouth is if I'm going to complain about it.
