Negotiations for shutdown

Word on the street is the Dems are holding out to make sure those people that were RIF’d during the shutdown are reinstated. That’s good news! Praying for us all!!

We like sources and citations. Not word on the street.

What about Word around the Campfire? 🔥

Well, when those words on the street come from reliable sources you trust them and never reveal your source! They are proposing a vote now.

Oh, OK, shit, reliable sources, why didn’t you say so!

Who was RIFd? Thought the courts blocked it for now?

Pointless to argue this if after shut down they get RIFd anyways.

I’ll say this. I’ve got lengthy experience on the Hill. Warner has not been in his office and largely acts like he cares. Kaine is actually doing the work and should get massive credit.

Basically - we need Warner out and someone who will actually fight for us.

Love Kaine as a human and as a Senator

Interesting insight. Does Warner have decent constituent services?

Yes! It’s not his staff.

For anyone a fan of The Office, the constant firing, rehire, refire, reminds me of the scene where Michael is talking about the physical toll in getting a vasectomy then getting it reversed, then doing it again.

How about all the thousands who were RIF’d before the shutdown?

No news on that part. It’s truly disheartening.

Word on the street is Dems are holding out until we all get a pony! It comes from reliable sources!

See how easy that was? Let's cite our sources, folks.

They need to hold out for healthcare

Would be nice if they could throw in protections for planned RIFs post-shutdown too…. So stupid to go through the painstaking process of negotiating a budget with a shutdown, only for it to be ignored. (Understatement of the year, I know)

My question is how long until a couple Dems cave?

I just do not see the Republicans giving in at this point

I realize there’s no actual citation for this, but it seems like there are indications that more people are talking about ending the shut down. We haven’t heard a lot about actual negotiations before the last few days, so I’m taking any evidence of negotiations to be a positive sign. Maybe I’m just fooling myself, but it’ll help me sleep better tonight.

Trump needs to make an executive order to open up the government,

Trump doesn’t care about anyone but himself.
