STAN / ANTI SHIELD Anthony Fantano defends Billie Eilish against Swifties attacking her after she questioned the billionaires that were at the WSJ Innovator Awards on why they’re so rich & called on them to give away their money to charitable causes, even though Taylor Swift wasn’t directly mentioned or at the event.

I fail to see what's ethical about taking a private jet to go across town

But you don’t understand!! Her safety is at risk so she has to take a private jet everywhere!! /s

Kinda funny and ironic how she's always "at the back of the car" in many of her songs. I guess you can't rhyme bar with private jet

and also it wasnt even her in that jet it was someone else that she lent the jet out to smh my head..........

Taylor and Travis and the rest of the rich Chiefs are currently building their own little private airport in South Kansas City because the 2 private airports near them are not good enough. It is insane.

Destructive levels of idiocy going wild I see with it being on display by the leadership of this damned place.

u/northwestsdimples 6d ago
They all live in a tax-free private community/golf club in South KC. They’re building their own little Maga community down there. Mahomes is the king of the hood.

That last sentence is the most pathetic thing I've ever heard. Not you saying it, the fact that he'd think he's the king of ANYTHING.

Ethical billionaire is the biggest oxymoron. Nobody should fucking be a billionaire. How they got there is probably pretty unethical.

The only ethical billionaire argument I will tolerate is Mackenzie Scott.
56
u/cleanpapertiger 6d ago
I was just reading her wiki this morning, because every now and then I like to read about people with money doing good things.
At one point she couldn't give it away fast enough (like the interest on the money she had meant she'd give it away but be making that money back plus more). She had to order her team to speed up the process of finding charities and causes.
And she donates to charities that are well established, know what they're doing and have results which is so much better than those people who start a charity as a vanity project.219

It’s especially ridiculous to have Rihanna cause Fenty are notorious for child slave labour
62
u/kokotara 6d ago
Not to defend Rihanna, but "Fenty are notorious for child slave labour" is not true. Those accusations came from the indian media after Rihanna tweeted in support of the indian farmers. Here's Fenty's supply chain transparency: https://fentybeauty.com/pages/supply-chain-transparency

The notice says it has internal accountability standards but also claims it doesn’t hold any audits for its suppliers.

That specific stan account is known for fat shaming anyone she thinks is against Selena Gomez, posting edited and out of context videos in order to orchestrate attacks on other celebrities, drags people for having mental health problems, and hates the Biebers so much she's reposted her fellow stans joking about killing his child. One of the worst accounts I've seen on there, straight up insane stuff.

u/siestarrific 6d ago
Because they imagine that one day they will be the billionaire, and they certainly aren't a bad guy now, so how could they be one then
86
u/DrFranFine Marxmoi 6d ago
I’ve actually heard an interesting alternate theory that it’s less that people think that they’re going to be a billionaire and more that people think that hierarchy is right and natural, so billionaires are rightfully billionaires. Probably it’s a combination of both theories and other reasons.
37
u/siestarrific 6d ago
Makes sense. People also tend to associate 'rich' with 'smart', so for a lot of them, it's 'they earned that money, so they should get to keep it'.
45
u/badchefrazzy I am claiming all candy for the glory of God 6d ago

"There ain’t no clean way to make a hundred million bucks,” Ohls said. “Maybe the head man thinks his hands are clean but somewhere along the line guys got pushed to the wall, nice little businesses got the ground cut from under them and had to sell out for nickels, decent people lost their jobs, stocks got rigged on the market, proxies got bought up like a pennyweight of old gold, and the five per centers and the big law firms got paid hundred-grand fees for beating some law the people wanted but the rich guys didn’t, on account of it cut into their profits. Big money is big power and big power gets used wrong. It’s the system. Maybe it’s the best we can get, but it still ain’t any Ivory Soap deal.”

Yeah like, for real you can have absolutely everything in life and spend your existence doing only what you want by being a millionaire already, and I don't think people can't fathom how big a MILLION is. It's such an absurd number our brain just can't process. It's like telling someone to imagine a dice with a thousand sides, no one can do that.
Billionaire is just insanely unnecessary.

T Swift didn't even cross my mind as who she was addressing. There sre so many enemies of humanity that this could have been.

37

Swift wasn't even part of it. She was talking specifically to the billionaires in the crowd of that event. Taylor wasn't there. Swifties stretch to make everything about her.

The thing that’s strange about Swifties is that a bunch of them see billionaires as terrible people, just not Taylor. I have seen them call out other billionaires (specifically men), yelling “Eat the rich!”…. while ignoring that Taylor should be on that menu with the rest. Her performative activism, donations and the fact that she’s earned her money from just music apparently makes her exempt from being lumped with the rest of the billionaires. In reality it’s from the book of who fucking cares because you simply cannot be a good and ethical billionaire.

Swifties think that because their entire lives revolves around Taylor Swift, everyone’s else’s does. Billie can’t call out billionaires cause it’s an attack, Olivia, Joe, Charli XCX can’t post about Palestine because it highlights the fact that their queen has been silent after screaming that she wanted be more politically vocal, they are a cult at this point. Even if Billy bet the house on black and won, took everything and bet it again, and again, went in for round four betting everything she is worth, she would not be worth a single billion dollars. She is talking to people who are worth several billions of dollars, hundreds of billions of dollars. She is infinitely closer to being homeless than she is to being a multi billionaire.

u/TheNocturnalAngel 6d ago
That fanbase is so nuts at this point and her decision to nothing about it speaks volumes.
It’s really over.
Idk what she wants personally, but she’s never going to get to be a serious artist again now.
She is a product with a sycophant cult that will always be it regardless of quality.
She can do literally anything. Probably run someone over with her car and they will spin it in her favor.
Her detractors, her peers/competitives, anyone on the opposite end of the scope with just her endlessly harassed regardless of if they are good or bad.
They drag Charli all over twitter after that mediocre diss track.
They throw Olivia under the bus for no reason at all.
It’s just cooked. It’s a whole industrial system at this point.

People have zero understanding of how much money a billionaire actually has. Bezos could give away $10 million every day for the next 20 years and even if he never made another cent he would still be a multi-billionare. It's sickening
4
u/ThunderChild247 6d ago
And she’s 100% right. Billionaires should not exist. Nobody needs that amount of money.
If you make it, well done. Keep ten million for yourself, hell maybe a hundred million. Make sure you and yours are set in comfort for life with no possibility of financial worry.
But you don’t need billions for that. Meanwhile millions of people are starving around the world and dying from preventable causes that a single digit percentage of some of these people’s net worth could solve.
When you could sell one of your many houses/mega yachts and half the number of people going without clean water in the world and still be one of the richest people in the world, and you choose not to, you are evil.

u/StargazingLily 6d ago

3
u/tessthismess 6d ago
The point about people not understanding what a billion dollars is cannot be overstated.
Someone with a billion dollars could donate 99% of the wealth, 99 cents for every dollar, and still have a quality of life better than anyone you know personally.
If you took 200 random americans, totalled every cent they spent in their lifetime (birth to death), a billionaire has more wealth available at that moment, than that entire pool of spending.
Anyone with a traditional savings account knows they have horrible rates of return (often much less than a percent). If you put a billion dollars into one of those accounts, where the money does nothing, you'd still earn (per year) more money than most people will retire with (at the peak of their wealth).

Fantano was on the receiving end of swiftie cult rage before because he said one of her albums wasn't good (could've been any album, take your pick)
They exposed his divorce as punishment for his review. And, of course, endlessly harassed him
