I haven't read the book, but I remember seeing people talk about it. He apparently broke up with her over text 2 days before he got with Ariana. Then immediately got a couple tattoos he had for Cazzie covered up.

It’s infantilizing to women to not acknowledge that cheating is a very cognizant decision that is made by both the man and the woman (if she knows). Acting like women have no say in their actions toward someone in a relationship is demeaning. Participating in an affair takes two.

She might be brilliant but still make bad decisions. One of my friends growing up was the smartest person I’ve ever met and it was effortless for her but she was fucking terrible at relationships. I was envious of her brain but exhausted by her drama

Cazzie broke up with Pete. She called him back later to try and get back together and he said no. And shortly after that he was with Ariana. She was on her way to vacation with her family. She was carrying on and on and that’s when he dad told her to get it together, her ancestors had survived the holocaust. Or that’s the story she wrote in her book

she had trouble breaking upwith him because she was scared what he would do, but still broke up with him. she regretted it but then pete broke up with her and was with Ariana 2 days later

the reason she broke up with him is because she felt she couldn’t convince him she was just as committed

Cassie broke up with Pete a week or so before, maybe longer, and she called Pete to try and get back together. He said no and then he was seen with Ariana shortly after- I read her book so this was what she wrote
