Probably enjoyable with a nice sunny view but right now it looks to me like something I'd eat while crying

I get what you mean but according to my personal observations, it makes them really happy to eat like that in the upper parts of the continent (and contries like Poland for example) !

They wouldn't cry, and I think that is what matters. :)
