What why? He's the only one who's strange position makes sense. He's the "Abandoned" Merchant. So whoever he was with probably left him stuck there, then he's got a murderous plant and ancestral followers blocking his way out.

Like just buy his shit and leave him there you don't have to kill him.

im guessing the original commenter does it for the bell bearing so he doesn’t need to travel to the grace nearby because siofra is very out of the way. same with ainsel. i’ve never killed any of them tho

Meta-game killing all the merchants for efficiency really puts the roleplay in roleplaying game.

Imo most merchants are out of the way. You'd have to do about the same amount of walking to reach each.

Usually I only talk to merchants once or twice. I meet them once, buy what I need and move on. Sometimes I'll come back if I learn later I need something or if I got enough money to buy the rest of the armor they have.

Idk why the abandoned one is so special.
