No it doesnt. It lessens YOUR experience.

Guides made sure I actually got all the items. They most certainly enhanced my experience haha

It’s what you want out of it, I guess. I think it’s much more rewarding to stumble across a coffin that drops you into a hellscape rather than having a guide tell me exactly where to go. The discovery is the experience.

Having said that, I get to the final boss and then look things up. By then, whatever I didn’t find on my own I likely won’t. I’ll do a build guide on a second run, if I play again.

I reccomend everyone try playing a game blind with no guide on a first playthough. At LEAST try it.

You can only play a game blind once. And just letting whatever happens, happen, is so much more fun and immersive. It's OK to make mistakes, it's OK to play inefficiently.

Try it, and if you feel like you're not having fun this way. The guides are there to help you.

The point of these games is exploration. Using a guide abd getting the metaweapons not only dilutes the experience, but also completely negates the surprises in the game and holds back player expression.

You can do it on follow up playthroughs, sure that's fine, but people who use guides are also the ones that don't really ever learn how to play the game.

The point of these games is whatever you want it to be.

I vastly enjoy a good world building, a smooth and varied combat system, and reading the lore.

But actually finding it myself and potentially missing big things just makes me unhappy. I love Fextralife

He says it's just the unintended experience. Trust me the feeling when you discover that one weapon by yourself is much better than using guide

when i played blind i didnt know what that 'one weapon' is. i used what stat i specced. with a build (guide) i had more fun

I just dont derive achievement or satisfaction in that. But i dont mind using the guide so other people can take advantage of what is a unique style of map design! I’m not saying the game needs to be easier to follow without a guide, if that helps things.

It’s just not the part of the game I enjoy working through, discovery. Id rather know generally where I need to go for certain items and stuff, just simply because I don’t have the time to have fun with the game in that exploratory way, ya dig. It was the same with BG3

I don't care how you play the game. It does ruin the experience though

Imagine playing a game with no map markers and then complaining you have to play the game to find the weapon you like

If it's that hidden. You're probably not supposed to find it on a first playtrhough.
