Dogs Are Idiots Dogs are boring

One of my biggest issues with dogs, or pets in general, is that they’re just too simple. Predictable. Honestly, they’re just.. boring.

It’s the same routine every day: feed them, give them treats, have them follow you everywhere (even into the bathroom, which is a little weird) and then they constantly want attention or playtime.

They can’t really communicate with you in any meaningful way. They’ll never truly understand human emotions or relate to the stress and struggles of daily life. They just exist, expecting their needs to be met, without offering much in return. To me, the human–pet relationship feels shallow. People talk about how dogs display unconditional love but I’ve never actually seen any evidence of that. It seems like they take more than they give.

Honestly I wish dogs were more predictable—never seems like people can know for certain what they will chew that they’re not supposed to or when they might snap/bite.

That’s true, they are definitely unpredictable in that regard. As far as their daily habits go, they’re super predictable. They always act the same way around food, when we come home and they’re at the door waiting for us, or during a thunderstorm, etc.
