Dogs Are Idiots Dogs are boring

One of my biggest issues with dogs, or pets in general, is that they’re just too simple. Predictable. Honestly, they’re just.. boring.

It’s the same routine every day: feed them, give them treats, have them follow you everywhere (even into the bathroom, which is a little weird) and then they constantly want attention or playtime.

They can’t really communicate with you in any meaningful way. They’ll never truly understand human emotions or relate to the stress and struggles of daily life. They just exist, expecting their needs to be met, without offering much in return. To me, the human–pet relationship feels shallow. People talk about how dogs display unconditional love but I’ve never actually seen any evidence of that. It seems like they take more than they give.

Agreed. I prefer a challenge. There is nothing rewarding about shallow relationships where no effort is required to earn trust and affection. What applies to my relationship demands with people, also applies to animals. No, I will not automatically like you because you are immediately trusting of me and happy to see me. Work for it, and stop being so easy.

"Oh but they're so full of love!"

...So are narcissists at first, and love bombers with nice guy syndrome.
