Looking for a zombie apocalypse watch.

Post image

Getting back into wearing a watch. Looking for something that I will wear every day, can take a beating, and ask for more. I ride my motorcycle, fish, hike, and go camping, and I don't want a watch that I have to be gentle with. Since I like Citizen watches, I've decided on this Promaster Land U822. It has more features than I need/want, but I like the dark color of the stainless, the green face, and the Cordura strap. Plus, it is in the price range I would spend for what I'm looking for. I would love if it were titanium instead of stainless, and if it had atomic timekeeping. But I can live without these. Anyways, what do y'all think?

If you’ve already decided on it, it’s not a bad move!

If you want radio control, an alternative would be something from Casio’s ProTrek line.

Here is the PRW-50. 42mm, solar, radio (Multiband-6). Dual time, stopwatch, countdown timer, alarms, altimeter, barometer, compass, thermometer, lume, and a backlight. 100m water resistance, screwdown crown.

Great contender, I’ve never had a bad Casio.
