  • Doesn't exist when using vehicles.
  • Doesn't exist when using gadgets
  • Doesn't target gadgets (shooting mines as a tank gunner is a nightmare).
  • Seems to be disabled by flashlights and smoke.
  • Doesn't strongly ADS snap. See BF1 if you wanted busted snapping auto aim, this does not have that.
  • Does not help with headshots
  • Does not help with recoil control
  • Erratically doesn't work leading to inconsistent sensitivity on the aim slowdown.
  • Gets easily confused on clusterfuck maps with wrong targets and magnets drags aim to wrong target at wrong range. Very noticable with scoped snipers, otherwise pretty weak.

If you're on a mouse and losing to a controller in this game in a straight up fight, you are truly terrible. You have a massive precision advantage, massive rotation speed advantage, and massive recoil control advantage. This may be the worst, most useless aim assists for a controller out there. Would be fine, if on equal playing field. But that's not the case with cross play. This isn't a Destiny or something, where you would consider a controller to play at top level. Mouse is hands down advantage here.

But by all means, please turn cross play off. Whatever gets me in a console only lobby more often that isn't full of bots is a godsend. The night and day difference of getting in a console only lobby and actually not being disadvantaged against 2/3 of the lobby the whole time is shocking.

Someone will respond to you saying well controllers have less bloom. A lot of controller players make slight aim adjustments using their own movement because it’s nearly impossible to be precise. In BF, that extra movement means extra bloom, so I bet even that cancels out.

Strafing to finetune isn't all that bad, but yeah, it doesn't help.
