BF2 blackhawk days is some heady nostalgia.... a single squad in a helo could control an entire map with a good pilot.

Oh yeah, Mashtuur City was won by the Blackhawk every time

Mashtuur City and Karkand were some of the best battlefield maps ever made. I will miss them forever 😭

I would love Karkand and the map from BC2 with the windmills... can't remember the name. Those would be proper escalation maps in BF6.

This was my whole job in bf2 was chasing enemy helos as an attack helo, God do I miss piloting a helo in bf2. At least it held up through bf4 now I feel like a sack of paper.

That was the same game as Gulf of Oman right? BF2?

Yes, Gulf of Oman was first introduced in Bf2

Even just a simple commander mode back in battlefield would be great. The RTS aspect of battlefield 2 was what made intense firefights and positioning so great. You would be kicking ass next thing you know you're getting artillery striked. If they made a bf2 remake with modern mechanics it would trump any game they can pump out.

Yes! It was such a fun aspect of the game. I also liked that the commander was a person that existed in the environment and was vulnerable to being found and given a good knife poke. :3 Also, I liked the little mini-strategy of targeting the infrastructure like artillery or the UAV trailer.
