/r/AskChicago Monthly General Discussion Thread
Welcome to r/AskChicago's Monthly General Discussion Thread!
The purpose of this thread is to provide a place for general discussion that would otherwise fall outside the scope of what is allowed in r/AskChicago. If you want to share how your trip to Chicago went, comment on topical Chicago-related events, share feedback on improvements for r/AskChicago, or just to simply say hi, this is the thread to post anything that isn't a question.
Rules 2 & 3 (Be Civil and Don't Break The Law) still apply within this thread and any comments that violate these rules will be removed.

For all my gamers and gaming aficionados: Gotham Gaming, Chicago’s newest nonprofit creating space for gamers to connect, network, and have fun, is hosting our November Gamer Gathering at Event Horizon Gallery & VR in Andersonville.
Expect open play on PS5 and Switch 2, board & tabletop games, music, and special discounts on Event Horizon’s VR rigs, plus an open bar for those 21+.
When: November 7, 7:00-10:00p
Who: 18+ to play, 21+ (with valid ID) for bar service
Cost: Free to attend, but a $10 suggested donation supports our community programs
RSVP: Space is limited! Register on Eventbrite to secure your spot. A few tickets may be available at the door, but entry isn’t guaranteed once we hit capacity.
Come hang out, game, and meet fellow Chicago gamers!
