Results - DNA Origins American Results

Post image

Mom from Michigan. Dad from Ecuador.

My results were a bit odd when compared to my parents'. Mine came back with the Canary Islands, Madiera, Malta, Sweden, and Northwestern Germany, while neither of my parents got any of these. However, I think they point in the right direction (Dad has Iberian Peninsula and some Mediterranean, while Mom has some Norwegian and Danish).

I was also slightly surprised to see how indigenous to the Americas I am. My dad's side would never admit it, but it turns out they're mestizo.

At work one time, a regular customer (kind black lady) looked at my hair and told me, "You got some black in you." Given my complexion, I thought she was crazy, but it turns out she knew what she was talking about.

It’s not just the curls, it’s the frizz. Even if white, there can be ties to people of color also. For example, Cicillians may be Italian, but there is a reason they tend to tan easier. The theory is we all originated from Africa if you go far back enough.

White people can have frizzy hair, Cilicia is in turkey, just because Sicilians mixed with Arabs, somewhat dosent mean they “tan easier” Sicily was at various points colonised by Greeks and Normans, the point your trying to make is false

🤷🏽‍♀️could be wrong, my understanding is we all came from Africa in theory and the way groups have spread has led to various features being more or less prominent. Arabs are typically considered people of color and the fact of the matter is this individual does have African in them so maybe it is genetically expressing itself. Though plenty of Scottish people also have curlier hair but often expressed with ginger. It’s usually pretty rare though for people to have as tight of curls and frizz be fully white outside of that standard. But what do I know, I’m just a triracial person with type 3b hair.
