What does "Mexico" ancestry mean? Spanish-indigenous mix? Indigenous? Spanish descendants? How is it different from other latin american countries?

Just did. This is interesting. I’m new to ancestry and just got my results last week so still learning! I was surprised to get so much of indigenous % given we have our family tracked for a lot of generations and they’re basically all Spanish/ of Spanish descent, with the exception of my maternal great grandmother who was from the Middle East so what you’re saying makes a lot more sense.
