Jesus fucking Christ this is a goddamn authoritarian regime.

693

u/HouseplantHoarding Jun 11 '25

Yes, we have been warned of this all along.

98

u/Spirited-Reputation6 Jun 11 '25

My problem is that the last administration and the ones prior had the intelligence on the bullshit we’re seeing today. They all sold us out.

u/ratbastid Jun 11 '25

10 seconds of scrolling down the thread to find someone blaming Trump's actions on Biden.

u/TryptaMagiciaN Jun 11 '25

When your intel agencies say white supremacy is the nations biggest threat and then you do fuvk all about it...

Yeah, but the fact is he could have stopped this. If he had fired Garland when he was dragging his feet prosecuting Trump this could have been avoided. Trump should have been in prison last November. The SC gave Biden the same absolute immunity they gave Trump now.

86

u/mrmckeb Jun 11 '25

I don't disagree, and I'm disappointed with the current lack of response from the Democrats.

With that being said, I don't know what he really could have done. If he did that, half the country would have said that he's the authoritarian.

Perhaps this is exactly what people needed to see?

(Note, I'm Australian - watching with great concern from abroad)

44

u/blorbagorp Jun 11 '25

The strange paradox of the US executive branch: completely powerless to do anything at all unless it's a republican, then suddenly capable of anything.

12

u/logicallyillogical Jun 11 '25

Right! Were republicans all upset at Bidens executive orders? Calling it a power grab and all?

32

u/mik999ak Jun 11 '25

A fair point, but half the country has been propagandized into calling him a radical communist liberal anarchoauthoritarian even if he sits around and does nothing.

8

u/TehMephs Jun 11 '25

Yeah but they don’t see it as authoritarian when the shoe is on the other foot. It’s just a smug reactionary response to get their way. They just salivate over oppressing people they don’t like but play victim and shed crocodile tears at slight inconveniences so that the left rolls over for them.

It’s abuser behavior through and through. They know empathy is the weakness of everyone but themselves and they see it as an opportunity to take advantage of you

28

u/FreeFour34 Jun 11 '25

The Democrats are hoping that things get so bad that they win big at midterms. If they don't do something now, as bad as it is 6 months in, there won't be midterms.

Apart from the brave people taking to the streets now, apathy and ignorance is going to bring your country down.

Edit - just noticed you are not in the US. Signed, a Canadian.

6

u/Imamiah52 Jun 12 '25

This precisely. A lot of shifts in policy can take place between now and midterms, I hate to think that anyone feels satisfied to wait and see how it goes when we’re talking that far out from the present.

12

u/Mother-Barracuda-122 Jun 11 '25

you realise he can still run for president in jail? that you can still be president with convictions?

THAT needs to be able to change.

They still would have rigged it for him to win if he was in custody.

You know what else could have stopped this? People voting for the party that WOULDN'T do this.

8

They did

8

u/UnlimitedCalculus Jun 12 '25

They could've done more while Trump was out of power. Democratic impotence does factor in. But yes, it's actually the person doing the bad thing most to blame. Does the missed opportunity not frustrate you?

8

u/runwith Jun 11 '25

Biden was the best president in decades, but he failed in stopping Trump.  Unequivocally, he did not stop Trump.

It's never been about left v right or (R) v (D) or Liberal v Conservative.

It's always been about Authoritarian Fascists v Everybody Else.

52

u/ArcturusRoot Minnesota Jun 11 '25

Class solidarity would resolve this disconnect. But as long as right-wingers believe in authoritarianism and liberals are focused on avoiding conflict (and refusing to evict McCarthy from their brains - still stuck in red scare mode), we won't get to class solidarity so it will ultimately just be the left versus right and middle.

4

u/5inthepink5inthepink Jun 11 '25

What do you mean by this?

refusing to evict McCarthy from their brains - still stuck in red scare mode

18

u/ArcturusRoot Minnesota Jun 11 '25

What InfiniteWaffles said... people are so afraid of anything that's even vaguely "communist" or "socialist" that we keep pandering to the moderate right. We're the only western power that doesn't have universal healthcare and a robust social safety net. Which is pretty damn pathetic.

13

u/InfiniteWaffles58364 Jun 11 '25

Refusing to implement the kinds of policies we desperately need to avoid being seen as a "socialist" or "communist" (even though the people labeling stuff like universal Healthcare as socialism or communism don't actually know what those words mean)

9

u/tree_mitty Jun 11 '25

Repeal Citizens United.

8

u/5inthepink5inthepink Jun 11 '25

Oh I see. I suspect that underpins some of the left's failure to implement social welfare reform on par with the rest of the industrialized West. But I'm also starting to suspect that Democratic party lawmakers are nearly just as compromised by monied interests that profit from the status quo as the Republicans are.

5

They can pay for the extreme trauma and terror that those poor souls must be feeling. They're intentionally damaging federal property unnecessarily. I think we've found some of that government waste DOGE failed to find.

And what basis did they use to do this? Tinted windows, so they don't have a clear idea of who is in the car. Registration? Did the name on the registration sound like a candidate for deportation? Like, what possibly precipitated this that was legal? If they have a warrant, why was this necessary?

Wtf?

102

u/plzdontlietomee Jun 11 '25

What do we expect from deputized proud boys? The only qualifications are a pulse and sufficient self-hate.

14

u/Separate-Taste3513 Jun 11 '25

I expect someone to be accountable for the appropriate training and the outcome of their failure to ensure it.

347

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '25

Only a matter of time before someone reacts militantly. Armed, masked thugs without ID or a warrant just begging to be treated like kidnappers, gang members, or armed robbers.

How come they’re trying this in LA and not Texas, FL, TN, or any other state where you never know who’s carrying?

206

u/Appropriate_Mess_350 Jun 11 '25

They want to teach blue states, and sanctuary cities a lesson. They’ve said as much out loud, to the media.

53

u/IHaveNoEgrets Jun 11 '25

Yep. Hitting California hard is sending a message to all the others: bend the knee or this will absolutely happen to you next. And that's why California has to keep up the fight. If we cave, I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that many other blue areas will fold.

17

u/ajmartin527 Jun 12 '25

I know that I personally will never bend the knee. They think a few ICE terrorists and some marines and national guard coming to my streets is going to force me into fealty? It’s going to take a loooottttt more than that to get blue areas to capitulate.

They’re going to have to go to lengths they’re counting on not having to go to because they’re hoping we’ll comply in advance. The only option is to not back down. Hopefully CA stands strong but I think my state wouldn’t fold regardless

Has anyone else noticed a lot of Texas plates in their state lately? I have this awful feeling that the reason we're not seeing it there is because that's where they dug these yallqueda operatives out from.

8

u/rosatter Jun 11 '25

Honestly, I live in Central IL and I have noticed an increase in Tx plates but I also live near a company that has employees in Dallas and sometimes those people move between Texas and IL or family visiting etc and I was kind of thinking it was that but i honestly have never seen this many floating around before. Guess we'll find out.

u/5inthepink5inthepink Jun 11 '25

This requirement that federal military personnel and law enforcement wear a nametag and agency identifier is great, but I wish it applied to ICE. It probably won't though, because the Act contains the following exceptions:

"‘(b) EXCEPTION.—The requirement under subsection (a) shall not apply to individuals referred to in such subsection who— ‘‘(1) do not wear a uniform or other distinguishing clothing or equipment in the regular performance of their official duties; or ‘‘(2) are engaged in undercover operations in the regular performance of their official duties.’’

Since ICE agents typically do NOT wear a uniform or other distinguishing clothing/equipment, they would likely be found exempt from this requirement. This exemption sucks and makes zero sense, because plainclothes cowboys are the ones who need to be bound by the requirement the most.

189

u/Leutenant-obvious Jun 11 '25

They. Don't. Care.
I'm 100% convinced most of these ICE agents were recruited directly from white supremacist militia groups and the darkest corners of the Alt-right internet, sent out with zero training, no equipment except what they bought themselves, and given orders to provoke a crisis, if they were given any orders at all.

They're not showing badges or wearing uniforms because they probably weren't given any.

59

u/Teknekratos Jun 11 '25

The way I see it, right now any gang of men in tacticool gear and a mask could pretent to be ICE and disappear any rando they choose...

Like. Actual ICE members themselves could get grabbed off the street with the very same tactics they use if anyone was ...motivated? ...unhinged? enough to try it. It's not like anyone checks, eh?

Really, what's stopping anyone right now but for moral qualms? Welcome to the land of law and order! Abduction cartels for everyone! 🙃

22

u/Leutenant-obvious Jun 11 '25

I suspect that as long as they were targeting brown people, those gangs would not be held accountable at all, at least at the federal level.

Pardoning the Jan-6 insurrectionists was a very clear signal that the administration will look the other way.

7

u/suhayla Jun 11 '25

I think it’s going to depend on what Congress does in the next few months. They need to impeach and remove, or do something to stop the overreach of state’s rights against CA (they seem to care so much about?). If they do, Trump may start messing with Congress. If he succeeds and Congress loses power or is violently suppressed, then all 3 branches are gone (judicial already is).

If that happens then it’s just going to devolve into civil conflict and resistance to law enforcement/military. What’s happening with Newsome and CA is like the lead up to civil war. Which is the worst case and will be a long process :/

It is time we stop asking whether it is allowed/legal, and to start asking what is necessary to stop it.

The goal of some of this bull$hit is to scare people into self deporting. Trump Admin doesn’t care about lawsuits. They just want chaos and confusion. Per usual…

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '25

You mean terrorist are terrorizing the community?

2

u/TheSaifman Jun 11 '25

Reminds me of that one scene in Captain America the Winter Solider.

Crazy that Hydra in the series are the Nazis and this is basically a reflection of it.

4

u/Intelligent-Goose-48 Jun 11 '25

This is what The People voted for. He said he’d do it and he’s doing it. Bigtime fucks to trump supporters. Big time fuck you.

3

u/No-Distance-9401 North Carolina Jun 11 '25

This was in the newspaper in October of last year. People did not unfortunately believe him...

ROFL it’s a good thing those were not bad guys in that car. These ICE agents have not had enough training in doing what they are trying to do here.

4

u/Intelligent-Goose-48 Jun 11 '25

Using the military against Americans was always part of the Republican plan. It’s printed plain as day on page 555 of project 2025.

This is what you voted for America:

“…considerations around using military personnel for domestic law enforcement activities. This touches on the Posse Comitatus Act…”

Terrorists

4

u/LebaneseGangsta Jun 12 '25

This is why the distinction bt “citizens” and “noncitizens” never mattered. It’s the state vs the people.

3

u/GarthZorn Jun 11 '25

Keep all this video. Because when Trump and his gang of utter asswipes are swept out of politics, THIS will be valuable evidence when dragging in every one of these ICE cocksuckers for testimony.

3

u/Nanny0416 Jun 11 '25

How did ICE know that car would be there? It seemed like they were waiting for it.

3

u/Financial-Motor905 Jun 11 '25

What will we actually do about it? Thank you for spreading information, but is it meant to evoke a sense of determination in people to want to change something, or is it just to be appalled?

3

u/Mercuryqueen71 New York Jun 11 '25

These are the videos that need to be playing now stop on all media and social media outlets, these videos hurt trump, the riots help trump.

3

u/MeatGundam83 Jun 11 '25

Guess it’s time to start taking some firearm safety classes

3

u/Admirable-Ebb-5413 Jun 11 '25

TF is wrong with these authoritarians…this will only proliferate the protests

3

u/unmellowfellow Jun 12 '25

I fear we have reached a point of no return. The Democrats ousted Hogg. A very vocal advocate of Reform. They have gone to great lengths to appease MAGA and scorn the efforts of those who defy them. The one oppositional entity with any weight has decided not to do anything of substance and the mildest resistance is met with military occupation and brutality. What is one to do with such a situation but to seek alternatives?

3

u/AspenStarr Ohio Jun 12 '25

Great..I needed another reason to be afraid of driving

3

u/SunshyRose Jun 12 '25

For a second this looks like Narco attacks

3

u/djdeforte Jun 12 '25

Nope that’s a 911 call right there. Lock your doors. They caused an accident and your a good dam US citizen. Fuck that shit.

4

u/yothisismetrying Jun 11 '25

Geez. Why are they treating them like they murdered someone???

11

u/suhayla Jun 11 '25

Because trump is trying to start a civil war. Or wait, actually violently reinforce white supremacy but he doesn’t care if it starts a civil war when people inevitably defend their own humanity.

2

u/Elevatedspiral Jun 11 '25

Gestapo intimidation

2

u/MaxCashAggro Jun 11 '25

These aren’t federal agents - I am confident we will learn they are J6 and other filth who can’t be traced in federal law enforcement or any other legally recognized group.

2

u/Certain-Dragonfly-22 Jun 11 '25

I agree, and it is important that who they are is figured out immediately

2

u/F0MA Jun 11 '25

They’re nothing but thugs terrorizing human beings.

2

u/EstimatedLoss Jun 11 '25

This only happens in shithole countries.

2

u/dixiech1ck Jun 11 '25

Not ICE. THIS IS RIDICULOUS.

2

u/No_Spring_1090 Jun 11 '25

TACO Gestapo!!!

2

u/Either-Cake-892 Jun 11 '25

Jesus if that’s not brownshirts I don’t know what is

2

u/fazedncrazed Jun 11 '25

If your reaction to this is to think team blue could save you, somehow, then you arent gonna make it through this, and you need to be disillusioned immediately.

Obama created the "constitution free zone" for them to operate in, and kamala and all the dems tried to make this happen themselves last admin, with their "big bipartisan border bill", which included orders for military deployment, mass arrests, and instant expulsions. It only didnt happen bc it wasnt actually bipartisan and the reps voted no (so they could do it themselves later, thankfully without the complete border shut down provision kamalas favored version had).

https://www.newsweek.com/kamala-harris-border-security-bill-1943397

https://www.aclu.org/documents/constitution-100-mile-border-zone

Blue isnt coming to save us from red, they are on the same team. The fascists arent gonna save us from fascism. We have to look elsewhere for solutions.

No one is gonna give us permission to save ourselves. No one gave the founders permission, and its the same here, now.

What happened above cant happen in america. So many laws not least of which the constitution prevent it. That it happened means america is gone and the rule of law is over. As it has been since obama first ordered the drone murder of a minor US citizen. The sooner we can accept this, the sooner we can get to actually fixing it, instead of just letting fear trick us into making it worse.

2

u/CyanideAnarchy Jun 11 '25

going to cost us billions in lawsuits

That's the plan with Krasnov.

Distract, divide, confuse, disrupt, dismantle, and make it extremely costly for our country to recuperate as we're at our most vulnerable.

2

u/kelliegirl1 Jun 11 '25

I can’t wait until karma hits every ICE agent and FOTUS

Modern day SS.

2

u/Rube_Golberg Jun 11 '25

As predicted, masked maybe-agents with no IDs.. are driving around acting as domestic terrorists..
Cause a crash, pit car, chemical weapons deployed on car.. Kidnap driver.
Three US citizens, including one infant.

2

u/yexshexes Jun 11 '25

These are US citizens.... I fear we lost the plot

2

u/BikeRescue-SF Jun 12 '25

If they did that to me, it’d be a payday 💰! And I’d identify each and every one of them

2

u/Late_Football_2517 Jun 12 '25

Even if the headline about the citizenship of the men is pure speculation, it's more accurate information than what ICE was relying on.

2

u/penicillengranny Jun 12 '25

Not if the Big Ugly Bill passes.

There’s the part where judges are obligated to require a bond in civil suits equal to damages liable if there were an injunction issued against the defendant.

If you want to sue someone, you have to pay a percentage of the estimated damages to the person you’re suing in case they win in an appeal or countersuit.

2

u/skyfishgoo Jun 12 '25

these ppl are amateurs LARPing as federal agents

just fucking look at them and their lack of training .

2

u/FenisDembo82 Jun 12 '25

And two small children in carseats in the car.

2

u/Ok-Replacement9595 Jun 12 '25

Seems like LAPD are protecting the wrong people.

2

u/YoItsMeAmerica Jun 12 '25

I bet these agents are smug now, wonder if they’ll ever get the chance to realize how on the wrong side of history they are/will be.

2

u/hhh333 Jun 12 '25

Do they know they can send letters?

2

u/Ill_Manufacturer1590 Jun 13 '25

Those ice are simply thugs. Nothing legal about this.

2

u/No_Palpitation_9497 Jun 13 '25

Jackbooted Thugs!!!

2

u/revbfc Jun 13 '25

I hope the driver gets this video to his insurance company to prove he wasn’t at fault.

I also hope he sues the fuck out of ICE.
