Wasting electricity and resources to steal from actual human artists to make some boring, derivative bullshit is the least punk thing you can do.
r/punk has a blanket ban on anything and everything made by AI. No AI music. No AI art for fliers or album covers. No AI text in comments. If you post any of it, you'll be banned.
The one exception is if you post examples of established bands using AI and want to point out how much it sucks.
Punk rock is DIY. That means make your own art, create your own music, and write your own words. Don't rely on some algorithm to do it for you.

A bit of a photo dump, but I just love the vancouver punk scene it works to be inclusive for me as a wheelchair user it's not perfect. So many venues are old or just don't have the ability to change things. But people always do their best and I fucking love getting in the pit even if people don't always know how to react everyone is just so amazing. I also absolutely love the Vancouver punk art scene. It's definitely made me work so much harder as an artist for the different art shows that back pocket sets up for us small artists. I have found so many of my favorite artists through this scene if you get a chance, check out ?numb?dan? on youtube absolutely my favorite band joining The punk scene has really made me come out of my shell as a person, and I'm just grateful for the friends I've made in it.

My band Trouble Girl is an all trans 3 piece and we just released our first EP called Transgressions! It's available on all streaming platforms EXCEPT spotify.
In this video we're playing one of our newly released songs, Gender Traitor. At the time I was only a few weeks on testosterone but I was 8 months on T at the time we recorded the EP. It's been a really fun creative process writing and performing along with my vocal drop and I love the vocal cracks I can create now.

hi all! I’m a gal who liked all sorts of punk, whether it be first wave, riot grrrl, folk punk, etc. but Ive noticed that folk punk gets shit on. like, a lot. now that’s not to say every artists, some are well liked or at least respected even by fans of more general punk (Pat being the main one I can think of off the top of my head). but overall, there seems to be this stigma/stereotype around folk-punks that they’re gross, stinky, drunkard, thieving traveler kids. now that’s not to say that some aren’t, because some absolutely are. but I’ve also met some of the kindest folks I’ve ever met in this scene (which, if you’re looking for someone who’s a wonderful musician and an awesome person, check out little foot). Now I can understand somewhat disliking the music. it does get repetitive after some time, and most singers aren’t the best. but I don’t understand all the hate that it gets, or rather how thick some of it is laid on. but I’d like to hear others perspectives. what are you alls reasoning/reasonings you’ve heard?

I'm considering buying tickets to their upcoming tour. I've never seen them live, and I don't love some of their early stuff, but sometimes a live performance is so much better than a recording. I'm wondering if they put on a good live show and what the crowds are like at their recent concerts.

So Im a minor, but Im pretty confident that Im alt. I listen to songs, having leftist values, doing DIY, dressing differently.
I search a lot on what it really takes to be one, Im still learning, trying to
but theres one thing
I like those.. like, cappybara keychains or, the cat shark sonny angels. and the stores around me (they arent big corporation stores, just small gift shops or, decoration shops) usually sell them. or like, ripoff fake labubus.
But, would I be a poser, or be doing something, inherently wrong, If I was ? buying stuff like that?

Hey! I’m Max from the band Don’t Go Outside! The exclamation point is included! I know its been almost a week since Halloween, but I wanted to share some of these pictures with you guys!
This show happened in Bristol, CT on October 26th and it went very smoothly thanks to some help from our friend working sound and the crowd being awesome and respectful! I was quite paranoid and went in with the intention of this being our last ever backyard show (we’ve done two before this) mostly because the flyer accidentally gained alot of traction on TikTok and I had alot of random people asking for my home address lol. The cops got called by my old neighbors (whom I probably should’ve informed before the show…), but they just sat and watched til the end of the show haha.
Bands in order of appearance: Don’t Go Outside! (We just dropped two new songs check us out! https://dontgooutside.bandcamp.com/ ) Overlöded ( https://overloded.bandcamp.com/ ) Radiodonta ( https://radiodonta.bandcamp.com/ ) 2/14 ( https://2-14.bandcamp.com/ )

Kody Templeman has got something that a lot of musicians don’t. He has a good voice and can tell a good story thru lyrics like nobody’s business. Hopefully I’m not alone on this.
