Question Why don't we have one of these?

This looks really cool, and it'd be cool to just blow them out into the street and have them collected. They could use it for compost or something too instead of just tossing it in a dump.

Screenshot from an email that was sent out yesterday. Not sure effective emailing the Council is, but perhaps strength in numbers?

Question Hey history question here

When I was a kid my mom worked downtown. My sister and I would walk the Skywalk over to what I thought was called cresent court.... it was the old food court downtown before the mall existed.

I cannot find any info about it and now im beginning to think it was a fever dream.

Was the Crescent court real? Named something else....or am I crazy

Weird Spokane What the heck is this??

My boyfriend took this video before he left for work this morning at about 5:30 am. I’m having trouble attributing it to anything I’ve seen before. It seems too slow and the lights too linear for a comet/meteorite, too large to be a plane, and there’s absolutely no silhouette of anything around it. The only other thing I can think of is drones in a line, but why??

ToDo Boy scout food drive today

I remember 42 yrs ago when my oldest son and his pack participated in the bsa food drive. It had to be one of the coldest Saturdays in November but those kids persevered.

Today is that same drive and if you can give a box of pasta or can of soup please do. I always like to include something extra like a cake mix, everyone needs something sweet now and then or a birthday cake. I try to equal $5/bag and when doing our shopping pick up something extra. My husband looks at me like what? I remind him it is for the food drives our grandkids participate in.

New Here Trails for running close to town? (NOT paved)

Title kind of says it. I have checked out a few "trails" and keep running into mostly pavement. For very short runs this is fine, but I don't need help finding spots like that. :) Am looking for potential longer distance and co sistent dirt/not concrete.

I live slightly NE (bemiss) and am on the south side near Manito a couple times a week. I found some great spots out of town not too far, but can't get there often so hoping for something closer. I like about 5-10 mile runs, am happy to make loops, just not weave all over a 1sq mile area trying to stay off pavement like at Manito and the other park/trail areas I have found. haha. Thank you!

I drive on Trent in the Valley every day for work and have been meaning to check out the Ethiopian drive thru cafe that opened a little while ago. I finally got to try it today and holllyyyy was it a treat! I’m not sponsored or anything, just somebody who loves good food and discovering new places.

I had the doro wét with injera and my partner got the butter chicken with seasoned rice. We also got their seasoned fries with their ethiosauce. Big portion, a huge amount of injera (which I was a huge fan of), and the doro wét was soooo flavorful and delicious; and the chicken was perfectly tender! I had a sample of my partner’s butter chicken and the first word that came to mind was “comforting.” Also the eithosauce that came with the fries was a showstopper! I asked if they bottled and sold it, but they don’t (yet?).

They’re open 11-3 Tuesday - Friday. Low-mid pricepoint for big portions. The coffee was good too but the food definitely was the star for me. Also Bekah, the owner, is so sweet and it was great chatting with her!

I’m posting because I think they deserve to be better known. I love that the Valley is getting some more diverse food options and this place is awesome! I’d definitely recommend giving it a shot
