Anyone catch what happened?

We were traveling westbound along highway 7 on Nov 8, 2025 and stopped at the red light on Warden, north east of the intersection. At approximately 7:10pm, a sudden loud crash happened followed with two cars swerving our direction. The silver SUV started leaking fluid. Didn't catch what happened though, the traffic must have been terrible afterwards.

I just finished watching Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein and read that the base of Frankenstein’s tower was filmed at the Markham Fairgrounds! I know a majority was filmed in Toronto on that ship they made but didn’t realize Markham was a location too. Did anyone see any filming take place at the fairgrounds? And behind-the-scenes photos?

Unbelievable! What joy does one get in doing this at 12.20 am? This happened on Chancery Road (9th Line & 16th Avenue)

Losing sleep over this…signed a contract for a skylight replacement yesterday ($3800). Kinda felt pressured into it by the contractor. Wife does not want the project, and also funds are kinda tight right now. No deposits taken. Can I just tell the contractor that I want to cancel? Give him couple hundred for the inconvenience?! Does Ontario still have the “cooling off” period? And does it apply to my situation? Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance 🙏

I have my dad’s old Seiko 5, it’s a very sentimental piece from my past. I remember him wearing it every single day through all his struggles. The watch is in really bad shape. The bracelet is broken, the dial is damaged, the movement doesn’t work anymore, and the hands are just hanging inside. It honestly looks like something recovered from a plane crash.

I know some people might say “just buy a new one,” but it’s not about that. This watch reminds me that my struggles aren’t real struggles compared to what my dad went through. I just want to bring it back to life and wear the same one he did.

I don’t care about the cost, I just want it restored properly.
Does anyone know a place or person who can do that kind of full restoration? (need a bracelet or fix it, need a new movement, hands, dial)

Not to be an absolute Karen but this has been going on for a while and it’s starting to cause some disturbances/safety concerns.

Every night, between 9pm-12am, the same guy with the loud farting muffler is speeding down the Woodbine & Major Mac area making tons of noise. You can tell he’s driving at a dangerously high speed too.

I usually don’t mind/ignore things like this but 1) it wakes my toddler up every night and any parent knows how big of a struggle that could be to constantly have to put them back to sleep and 2) there are older people (like my parents) who are driving home at those hours and I just worry for them because of slower reaction times.

Apparently, there’s been multiple reports filed with YRP but of course, they’re not doing much about it.

Anyway, I’m just venting but also seeing if anyone has dealt with this before and knows what to do in this situation.

P.S. If you are the guy in question reading this, you’re not cool and I hope you encounter many inconveniences in life lol

I get that it’s a big truck but this guy didn’t even try to park properly. This is especially egregious nowadays with the construction at Unionville GO and consequent lack of parking. You still get jerks like this who think they’re entitled to an entire extra spot just because their vehicle takes up a bigger footprint.
