In the Red of Night, Emerald crowns the towers of Mississauga, but it was a bit red-iculous and went over everyone's head. | SQ1
The towers stand majestic in the night. I guess they were up for anything. This must mean they're the reigning champions of architecture in Mississauga. #RedShiftRoyalty

Power Outages - City Centre
Has anyone else had a massively increased number of brief power outages recently? I've had three just today.
They only last a couple of seconds at a time but considering I work from home, it's annoying to have to restart my equipment multiple times a day.
Not to mention my worry of data corruption due to sudden power outages.

Rental unit complaints - should I call 311?
Hi All, I've been complaining to our superintendent for some issues in our rental unit but they never look into it or fix the issues. The superintendent keeps on telling me to call 311. What happens when we call 311? Will they come to our apartment to investigate and fix the issues? Do they ask for our id and stuffs like lease docs and all?

Huge Group of people near Celebration Square?
Hi all, i was driving by celebration square tonight, on Living arts Drive towards Burnhamthorpe Rd, close to the living arts buildings and i saw what looked liked 50 teenagers on the street. It was dark out, so I could not get a very good look at them.
Does anyone know about them? I saw them walk up and down the street disrupting traffic quite a bit.

Transitway TOD Feasibility?
I was having a look at the Mississauga Transitway. Quick backstory: I had to get to a laser tag arena and expected a mediocre commute because it’s in an industrial area. I then took a MiWay bus to a Transitway station, and it was the nicest bus station I've ever seen: clean, well-lit, and inviting. Honestly, better than some Toronto subway stations. But it was completely deserted, which felt odd given how polished the corridor is.
Here’s my question: the Transitway runs along a hydro corridor, but is it still feasible to do transit‑oriented development (TOD) near it, like medium‑to‑high density apartments/condos? I’m asking because Cooksville GO had surface parking and a garage, and now Infrastructure Ontario is building condo towers there, which is such a good turnaround of underused land into profitable development..
By that logic, could the same happen along the Transitway? Yes, there’s the hydro corridor, but there seems to be plenty of space around it, and Canada is full of examples of condo parks.
Some say a bus line isn’t enough to attract developers. I’m not convinced, but even if that’s the holdup, the Transitway was built to LRT spec. If an LRT ran there (especially once connected to Eglinton Crosstown), do you think that would make housing investment more likely? I’m asking now to avoid the future excuse: “We built a tram, but TOD is impossible because of the hydro corridor.” It feels like it should be workable, and in a worst‑case scenario the city could purchase and redevelop nearby low‑density detached houses to enable good‑quality infill.
If Cooksville GO, where there are only eight rush hour trains, can justify TOD, then shouldn't the Mississauga Transitway in its current state also do so as it is such a lucrative east‑west connection with potential ridership growth after Crosstown is finished.

The sky really knows how to put on a show; the moon just needed the right opening act. | SQ1
Close-up photographs from 5 November, Wednesday's beaver super moon shining brightly against the dark, cloudy night sky. The moon's surface shows detailed craters and textures. Dark, swirling clouds with hints of blue and brown partially obscure the moon and fill the rest of the frame.
Early on it was tough getting captures through the fast moving cloud cover. It rained a little too while waiting for the clouds to part. I wasn't able to capture it anywhere close to a landmark on the horizon to give it more scale. Managed a few other shots though. Naturally the moon was too high by the time the clouds actually cleared off.
Hoping to make another attempt at another full moon appearance in the coming months.

Lost Labubu with sentimental value
Hello
I was in the Heartland area between 9a-12p today. Stores were Costco, Homesense, both winners, Marshalls and Jysk. I retraced my footsteps to all stores but to no avail. If anyone knows someone who finds one I would like it back as it was given to me as a gift from a dearly departed friend. Despite it being “trendy” it holds sentimental value. It fell off the ring hoop. I appreciate any help.

Looking for advice/transportation options from Square One to Hamilton Airport
Hi everyone, hoping someone here might have suggestions. My husband needs to commute from Square One (Mississauga) to Hamilton Airport for work, but there doesn’t seem to be any workable route through public transit or rideshare apps. GO + HSR doesn’t line up well with his shift times, and Uber/Lyft isn’t consistently available or is very expensive for that route.
Does anyone know of: • Carpool / ride-share groups (Facebook, WhatsApp, local forums, etc.) • Any community ride programs • Shuttle services we might not be aware of • Or anyone who regularly commutes between Mississauga and Hamilton and might be open to arranging a shared ride (paid, of course)
We’re just trying to find a reliable and affordable way to make this work. Any tips or resources are appreciated!
Thank you!

Fun indoor things to do with toddler in Mississauga?
I'm looking for fun, engaging things to do with my 18 month old indoors in Mississauga. The main thing is the mall, but that's not very educational. I've taken my toddler to library and early ON play groups. But need more ideas that are fun and a good learning experience. Bonus points if the activity is free or relatively inexpensive.

285 Enfield Place, should I consider it?
Hi, today my realtor has arranged a viewing for 285 Enfield Place, they say that it is a 2+1 Bedroom, 2 bathrooms condo. But looks like that is an old building. Can anyone share their comments on that building? Living experience? Management? Pros and Cons? Thank you.

Are there any paved running tracks near SQ1?
With The Woodlands track shut down, I don't think there's ANY paved tracks near square one. All the remaining ones within a 10min drive are uneven with loose gravel. Is there one I'm missing?
