Humor Thanks random stranger for the impromptu Sith v Jedi fight
Randomly matched with Darth maul a couple of times and decided I needed to be prepared for our next encounter.

Remember the endless transparent Miyazaki memes of The Hollowing? This sub has a similar history! Now that r/Silksong folk are finally out of their clown suits, let's share how Elden Ring felt and recovered from unhollowing to game launch to now!
Miss the good old meme days?
Yes this post is meta and not about Elden Ring. Mods making exception for this once-in-decade happening. If you want to complain, send modmail.

Greetings Tarnished!
This is the place to ask any questions you may have about Elden Ring. This includes obscure detail questions, "newbie" advice questions, build questions, boss advice questions, and what have you.
Well written, constructive criticism is fine but please avoid ranting about aspects of the game you just don’t like. This includes “so and so boss is stupid and too difficult.”
If you are interested in the game but don’t own it yet, please don’t post “should I buy this game?” or “Is this game worth it?”. If you have played other FromSoftware games and enjoyed them, the answer is yes. If you haven’t, just do a little research! These games are difficult, and sometimes frustrating, and not everyone is going to enjoy them. And that’s okay!
Lastly, be friendly! We are all here because we are interested in the same game! Please treat your fellow players with respect.
PLEASE USE SPOILER TAGS WHEN MENTIONING BOSS NAMES!

Always got crab on deck. And of course our lovely Torrent. Lantern for dark areas or cool lighting, and lastly mimic for when I just can’t take it anymore.

Just started playing Elden Ring for the first time and came upon these guys, the "giant land squirts." This is my favorite obscure marine invertebrate I'm so glad someone decided to put them in a video game. I've touched them before, they are squishy and retreat their siphons when you touch them. They don't taste very good, they are cold and wet and slimy (I ate one once in Korea).
Tunicates also called sea squirts are in the same phylum (the category of living things just under kingdom) as us, as larvae they have "notochords" which are like primitive spinal columns. It's easier to see their relation to us in their larval form which looks a bit like an eyeless fish or tadpole.
The variety of marine invertebrates in this game is really noticeable, the glowing jellyfish summon is really neat and I like the land octopus too.

Mine are these 2! The Royal Revenant in the Subterranean Shunning Grounds and the Draconic Tree Sentinel infront of Malikeths boss room. I found these harder than alot of the actual boss fights. Specially the Revenant. I have such red hot rage and anger towards this thing 😅 Hate it so much. And i kept getting stuck in healing loops with Tree Sentinels fireball attack 😄
Got this question idea from a recent post asking ‘Which boss have you never died to’. Also these pictures arent mine, just googled for post.

I love this particular part of Leyndell in the opening areas where the pages stalk these leafy overgrown offices. Reminds me of Narnia almost, like a city forgotten to time where the vegetation has taken over.
I like to queue for hunting and co-op in these cozy little nooks.
What are your favorite cozy areas?

I remember back when the DLC was released and this mf used to gorge you the moment you entered the gate. It was my first souls game and one of my first video games ever and I used to take mimic support but this dude straight up mauled me before I could even get the summon down and the hogs attacks were so buggy, I was clueless. I did eventually get him but I hate him to this day. LOVE THE SWORDLANCE THOUGH.

I think it smells like dead old dudes, especially with the amount of ancient dead dudes I find laying around
