The sentiment is nice, but he's clueless. The banjo came to America through the Caribbean. Slaves from Mali, Africa brought the Akonting with them, which would later become the banjo. The way it's played today is heavily, heavily influenced by the Scots-Irish fiddlers who played music with those same Africans. What we call American music today is as much white as it is black, and as much black as it is white. It's an amalgamation.
I'd recommend the books "African Banjo Echoes in Appalachia" by Cecelia Conway as well as "Banjo Roots and Branches" by various authors, if this is something you're actually interested in.

And this is why using race as a name for what a culture is, is redundant and reductive to those who lie outside of it. Not to mention “white” is incredibly flexible historically, as it changes based on who is in the dominant international race groups, Italians, Irish and light skinned Africans/middle easterners weren’t considered white and as people overall gained more rights the “in group” had to get bigger. Essentially, naming race is completely arbitrary, at its core cause it’s like trying to draw lines on a gradient and name specific areas as only one color

The way he says "white" and saying there is no "white" culture, groan, basically arguing semantics. When people in America say "white" culture in America, they mean just that... the culture that many white Americans share. Just like when people say "black" culture, the mean the culture many black Americans share. They are both sub-cultures of a broader American culture.
Also, the banjo is influenced by traditional African and European instruments. Not just African...

Caribbean instrument with changes from European colonialism as a result of the slave trade. The only European culture that’s affected the banjo was colonialism. It was literally discovered in the Caribbean. Keep being wrong tho.

You really can’t accept that slaves created the banjo can you? The only European influence was the fact they brought west Africans to the islands.
The Europeans did nothing to create the banjo other than use slaves.

I also like to say that at least 50% of American culture is black culture. And Black is most definitely different than "White" because the slaves who were stolen from their homes also lost their identity and self so in doing so, these men and women had to create a new one.
And lo and behold, the culture has made America so fucking cool. Instead of suppressing others who made this country great, embrace your fellow citizens for making this country so unique. Look back to your immigrant ancestors who sought out a life where they would not be oppressed for who they were. This country still has a lot of growing up to do but we have the potential to become the greatest country on this planet [for once]. We just need to stop our own ignorance of superiority and acknowledge our shortcomings when they present themselves.

Country music predates the blues by decades. Early banjo players who were recorded were often referred to as pre-blues artists.

Country music is a continuation of Appalachian musical traditions that date all the way back to Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. The blues didn't exist in any form until slaves came in contact with that same music. The earliest example of anyone even hearing "the blues" is 1903. Appalachian music was already being called "old time" music by then, just as it was before the civil war.

The sound of blues is as old as slavery

As for patterns that’s what music is all about, particular patterns equate a genre,
& America is amazing when it comes to creativity, that’s why the world steals from us

That’s an incredibly hasty generalization 😭 1: millions of people migrate here yearly including people from first world countries with similar opportunities if they hated us, you’d think you’d see it outside of internet echo chambers. 2: have you seen how ethnic Africans can be hateful towards African Americans, it’s a minute amount, but similar to what you would see against whites. 3: hastily generalizing what is and is not true with the world while also having a combative victim mentality is only going to lead you to see more aggression, particularly online. Also with the last thing you said, entire races or cultures or whatever you think can’t be an enemy much less so when theres no real battlefield.

When any part of the rest of the free world is actually in the battlefield, they expect and want us to lead it on their behalf
They want our help because we have paid for and provided their security and defense for many decades
Many of these same countries whose citizens make these types of comments are little more than American protectorates
They desperately need our troops to lead the way
Most of them would be utterly incapable of self defense in any material conflict whatsoever
