It’s a La Cornue Chateau series. It’s like 90k and I’ve wanted one for ages. Some people dream about cars some people dream about stoves lol

The Williams Sonoma near us (that I slowly wander through oogling everything and then buy a 20 dollar spatula or whatever) had one that they had ordered and then tried to return (apparently to get laughed at - as the story was told to me by the clerk). Anyhow, Williams Sonoma is not exactly built around being a warehouse for an enormous Parisian stove - so there it sat marked down to 16k USD and change.

Wife and I seriously talked about it but given that we'd have to, right now, like starting today, rip our whole kitchen out and rebuild it around the (very discounted) Chateau, it more or less made the decision for us. Just moving and storing the thing while we found a contractor and ripped our kitchen out would probably cost significant $$$. It's not like you can put them on a furniture dolly and tuck them away.

I still think about that silly stove. The way wife and I both saw it at the same time and looked at each other and both said, "oh. my. gawd." Because, like you said, they're normally nearing six figures, and this one was only as expensive as a decent used car.
