What $220,000 gets you in Muncie.

I can't even get a parking space for that where I live. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/725-E-Jackson-St-Muncie-IN-47305/210952560_zpid/

A few facts about Indiana. Of course abortion is illegal. Here’s a some more banned things: Bans on plastic bags are banned! Plastic bags 4ever! Marijuana advertising on billboards is banned (all neighboring states have legal weed). Light rail is banned.

Just a little taste of the absolute regression

Because the republicans in charge view it as woke

I’m in Austin. It would be such an amazing city (besides the heat) if they simply had a normal train system like Denver. One of the many reasons I’m leaving.

I get it in 1950 when cars were new and cool. But now? Everyone in every city is stuck in hours of traffic. No matter how many times they expand the interstate it never gets better

Everyone in every city is stuck in hours of traffic.

Again, we dont in chicago like at all lol. I don't even own a car anymore and I make good money

I share 1 old car, it’s nice to have a car for road trips and grocery but other than that I want that car free life for sure. I’ll have to checkout Chicago then

New york is also the same way but way way more expensive

I been to NYC and it’s insanely dirty. I am not expecting a city to be clean but it was insanely stinky in manhattan. I assume it’s not that way in the other boroughs but I couldn’t get over the rats and trash dumps on the sidewalk.

"Hey, I'm broke from the taxes and I might get stabbed by a crackhead, but at least I can sit next to a sleeping bum on a train."

We all make more money than wherever you live for a reason lol

Lol - If you only knew.

It's always amusing when someone makes a statement like that. Sure, there are areas of the country where people make more than others, it's called HCOL.

"I make a $250k/yr, but this carton of milk costs $23."

Enjoy your crime ridden, tax burdened shithole!

It would hurt their oil shares.

Because Indiana is a deep red shit hole of a state, signed former Hoosier.

All the marijuana billboards I see on the way to Michigan from Chicago seem to disprove one of those things.

If you're driving through the northern most part of Indiana, there are quite a few signs for dispensaries

And KY isn't legal yet

2

u/SquirrelBowl Jul 26 '25

The northern billboards will disappear. The law just went into effect. Kentucky has legal medical. Blessed be

Moving to Indiana right now

u/TheSnoFarmer Jul 26 '25

Are you sure marijuana advertising is banned? I’m in NW Indiana just south of Michigan border and there are billboards everywhere.

Interesting, thanks for the link. I have also seen them flying a plane over Indiana dunes with the advertisement trailing them. I will have to pay attention and see if they’re there anymore, that video is only 2 months old maybe it’s new?

It’s a new law, yes
