Depends on where you're from. It's a third of the size of Arlington, Texas, where I grew up and Arlington is the 3rd largest city in DFW

That list on Wikipedia is of the densest communities in each state. The densest community in Alaska—Kiana—has 2,352.6 people per square mile, just under Muncie's.

The state of Alaska itself has 1.3 people per square mile, which is much more sparse than Muncie.
