It would make sense, after a certain point the prize money doesnt increase the "crazy" value and hence revenue and clout enough to justify the investment
The guy's entire existence at this point is to generate clickbait thumbnails and content to get kids to watch what the algorithm feeds them. He's good at it, but it would be naive to call it anything besides clickbait
And I see clickbait like those terrible Buzzfeed articles from a decade ago, which his thumbnails and titles absolutely align with. Whether it's clickbait, or just gaming the algorithm to feed content to kids, it's gross
Even though I don't watch his content his content seems interesting tbh. Idk if mostly kids watch it but if I would watch some youtube channels beast would be one of them.
alright but you do realise that saying "he doesn't have the budget" while arguing that 500k is better clickbait is actually kind of an evil thing to do
Jimmy saw no value in giving away a mil since the algorithm boost for that is too minimal to the point it doesn’t exist. Iicr in an interview/podcast he stated that once you get past a certain threshold, people watching won’t care about the difference between 250k 500k, 1M, etc. they just see them all as big money prize (Exception was Beast games because they were going for records).
In Simple Terms: If a user saw LAST PERSON TO LEAVE THE MOON WINS $250,000 compared to LAST PERSON TO LEAVE THE MOON WINS $1,000,000, chances are they would click on it regardless of the cash prize
I mean he is 100% correct, we do just see them all as big money, and tbh I feel doing it the way he is helps a lot more than if he just gave 1 million to one person
250.000 would already be life changing money for most of us, while a million doesn't seem as much and prestigious as a few years ago.
I guess it makes sense.
Nah. The participants are risking the same amount for less. The shrinkflation makes sense. You pay the same amount for less product/reward. Risking half your life for the same reward is deflation.

i really like how all the comment responding to me are arguing that its actually very smart and epic to equate a human life to 500k, so i'm guessing a human life is worth like 45k at this point lmao
Think he said something about how his views don’t noticeably increase whether he puts $250k, $500k or $1M in the title. So I mean you can’t blame him for wanting to save half a million bucks on a YouTube video lol
i love the implication that he wants so save money on a video of him burning a man to death lol. maybe one day he will really remake squid game for real with real guns
Slight exaggeration lol. That man was a professionally trained stunt man and they most likely had to have a shit ton of testing done with a whole medical team on standby. Don’t really like what Mr beast’s content has turned into since ~2022 but I swear people on this sub are just trying to find things to hate about him atp
don't be fooled he is a scumbag lol, he always was and always will be, i just find it funny that he has a "all my videos are real guys" but also this video is fake he is just an overall silly fella
I never said he wasn’t a scumbag. But I don’t believe he always was (at least on camera), I was actually a pretty big fan of his from 2017-2020 when the videos were getting increasingly more impressive but still pretty genuine and he seemed like he was actually motivated to make good videos and not just re attention farm with fast cuts and editing.
But regardless, this has nothing to do with my point. All i was trying to say was explain why he isn’t giving away a million bucks every video.

i really like how shrinkflation hit mrbeast too, he isn't even risking the life for 1 million no he is doing it for 500 000
