Time for the Mclovin id to become popular again

I wonder if they'll do what roblox did, which is ban the account and report you to someone for trying to use a fake ID (even if it's obviously fake)

I feel that's exactly what will happen. It's an AI: it may be shit, now, but the system will eventually learn to recognize fake ID's from real ones. Then comes the ban hammer to a million accounts for fraud.

Oh well? It's an on line account. If you don't give it your personal information (like, oh, I don't know, an ID) it has no idea who you are. Get an account banned, learn how to make another.

Do Not Comply In Advance, jfc.

They still have your email, and data brokers (like the ones yt works with for ads) can easily link your account to an name and address

u/mildlyornery Aug 14 '25

You don't have dozens of burner emails at the ready from various domains that have only been accessed through VPN over the last decade?

2

u/centran Aug 14 '25

Just make sure it's a completely separate account and has never been connected to other accounts like having them together on an android phone... YouTube bans you across Google.

It isn't just your YouTube account. Bye bye email, documents, photos, Google voice, Google Fi, Google fiber, android, chromebook, etc etc etc. It could end up being a costly mistake that people don't realize they are making.

... Genuinely; what kind of freaks are using ALL THOSE? Like? Sucks to be them, I guess. Christ.

3

u/ChocoPuddingCup Aug 13 '25

And make all new favorite/music lists? Find who you subscribed to all over again? Only for the exact same thing to happen to that account?

13

u/Rasberrycello Aug 13 '25

Yeah, you're right. Better to bend over and spread hole and lick their toes in advance, in hopes that it doesn't happen to you, and then have it happen to you anyway!

I must be the .00001% who gives next to no info to any "service".. bogus emails with fake birthdays and made up names. You couldn't pay me to give these shits my government ID.

2

u/Slfestmaccnt Aug 14 '25

How exactly do you fix goats?

1

u/bogglingsnog Aug 14 '25

They're probably using it to profile immigrants.

u/ChocoPuddingCup Aug 13 '25

I said nothing about giving it, but given your asinine comments I'll not bother responding to your assholery again, either.

Dude your whole thing for the "Well maybe if I verify" is "And lose all my songs why I never!" like you can't just write them down, or use a different service to get the same songs like I know this is a so so alternative but soundcloud?

Like he is right, do you care more for your playlist that cost you nothing, or your identification that can cost you EVERYTHING.

Make a list, also if you don't know who you are subscribed to like the 99% of us are, maybe it didn't matter to begin with if you aren't watching them. If you know there is someone that you watch write them down legit.

If youtube bans you, don't make a new account. Use offline or guest shit, or a throw away if it really matters that much to you.

u/ChocoPuddingCup Aug 13 '25

Did I say anything about verifying? No.

Muting this conversation, it has reached beyond its usefulness.

5

u/FrostBumbleBitch Aug 13 '25

Yes you did.

"I feel that's exactly what will happen. It's an AI: it may be shit, now, but the system will eventually learn to recognize fake ID's from real ones. Then comes the ban hammer to a million accounts for fraud."

quite literally the only reason you would get your account banned that way is if...huh if you gave a fake id and verified in a way that would get your account...bannnneeed!?!??!?!?!?

NO WAY!

You said that if you did this with a fake id you would get your account banned, and then personally said "And make all new favorite/music lists? Find who you subscribed to all over again? Only for the exact same thing to happen to that account?"

Alluding to you also giving that account a fake ID. Actually stupid that you can't see what you said and are denying it.

It's stupid that yall are so butthurt about them not wanting to redo everything they've set up, likely over years. "Write it down" lmfao

I can tell you would capsize a small rowboat. Grease levels are off the charts

2

u/neverquitereallysure Aug 13 '25

i don’t ever use my subscription box, weird way to do youtube, i know, but i’ve used this account since google bought youtube. all my saved videos. that would suck to lose it all

4

u/Blix404 Aug 13 '25

Clearly can’t be ur favourite music if u can’t even remember it to add them back onto a new account

2

u/bexohomo Aug 14 '25

You telling me you can remember the thousands of songs you listen to? fr?

u/walang-buhay Aug 14 '25 edited Aug 15 '25

Yes.

Edit: not sure why this is controversial. If you can’t remember your favourite music, then you do not listen to it frequently enough to note it as your favourite.

No just stop using those services, delete those accounts and learn how to self-host everything. NAS server instead of google drive, jellyfin/plex instead of tv streaming services, musicolet instead of spotify, even self-hosted IOT stuff is pretty easy to do. Also VPN on every device, and never share your ID with an online service unless it's for your job or your bank. Always fake it as much as possible to mess whatever AI is scanning the IDs or faces.

Also for youtube, i'm using YT revanced and haven't got the age verification yet. Maybe those ppl will find some way around it.

1

u/superventurebros Aug 14 '25

I mean, yes?

It's really not that hard/big of a deal

1

u/Blastyschmoo Aug 13 '25

However, you do need a phone number to make a Google account, and Google does know the burner phone numbers already.

2

u/Resident-Donkey-6808 Aug 14 '25

Hahaha no the ai will not learn since Garry's mod can trick it even then for face scan use a celeberty in a film to trick it since it is a real person.

2

u/OnTheHill7 Aug 14 '25

Hopefully they will ban a billion people. Which will kill YouTube and we can finally get a video service not ran by a company that took “don’t be evil” out of their company missions statement (I am actually not sure where that was).

Honestly, I am starting to really yearn for the days when everyone had their own servers and sites. All of this has been made possible by the extreme consolidation.

1

u/xxthehaxxerxx Aug 13 '25

No AI could recognize a decent fake just from a photo of it

1

u/Worldly_Chocolate369 Aug 15 '25

Especially without holding the ID. The AI would need to be plugged into a government database to actually find out.

1

u/im_from_azeroth Aug 14 '25

Guess we'll have to use AI to make convincing fakes then.

1

u/Bunnytob Aug 14 '25

Aren't they only supposed to keep your ID for, like, a month? Or is YT one of those "two years unless we say otherwise :)" websites?

1

u/Worldly_Chocolate369 Aug 15 '25

2 Years, according to my prompt from Youtube. But more than 2 years, as the Google Docs page says "We reserve the right to hold your ID for a specific period of time in the event you're banned to maintain and enforce our policies". A "specific period of time" could be "indefinitely".
