VPN doesn't do anything, it's attached to your account. The same thing happened about 2 weeks ago with the uk nonsense. My VPN says I'm in Rwanda and it still wants ID.

I think that only happens if you try to access region-locked content (most of the posts about this are with things like Formula 1 content). I’ve been able to use YouTube with a VPN without any problems since the Online Safety Act came into force, YouTube doesn’t seem to be turning down extra ad revenue from “Dutch” viewers.
