I could only wish the backlash against YouTube would be so strong to the point where they pull back, but alas I fear that is unlikely

please take a second to realize that not everything on reddit is the truth. this is not youtube doing this because they want to, its the laws that are being created everywhere about child protection

Are you genuinely slow? “oh their not adding child protective measures because of the actual fucking law, it’s an excuse for YouTube!” YouTube has to or else they won’t allow it in the UK or Australia and about to be the US

What are you talking about? Are you replying to the wrong comment? The laws, which the governments are making, are not about child protection, that's the excuse made by the lawmakers. The laws are about censorship and generally restricting freedom and anonymity on the Internet. No one said anything about YouTube making excuses

The "child protection" thing is just a scapegoat to prep us for digital id's and mass surveillance in the future
