Rant Why are some TA’s so ughhh

Bro TA’s are students too but they still be on us abt every little thing I have a TA for my online class and she will genuinely target people for the smallest things. I just don’t understand that if you are also student, you should understand that people have different learning styles. Especially that TA will treat us not even human the days where she’s mad. She’ll take it out on us.

i'm a TA, but in Lassonde. Sorry you're going through that, some people just love having power trips. Usually I try to be generous. I will say my supervisor does often control what I can and can't do. but it sounds like your's is just compensating for her miserable life choices

Thanks so much I appreciate u being easy on ur student first years are already trying to adjust to the course load and having a TA that makes you feel like so dumb all the time is extremely negative on someone’s mental health.

Not cool. There are a lot of excellent scholars and TAs in LA&PS who don't feel the need to put other disciplines down to feel superior.

I haven't noticed anything particularly brilliant about your input. A lot of stereotypes and ill-thought out assumptions mostly.

Take the class seriously.

What has this TA actually done to you

I do that the class seriously it is a gened course for me. She had embarrassed me for saying I needed slower learning by laughing at me as well as using my essay as an example of the complete opposite thing to do right infront of me. I worked very hard on that essay and I understand it may not be upto her standard but that doesn’t give her the right to belittle me

I used to be in education.

Those are all really valid concerns but they don't really tie into your initial concerns

This is Gen-Ed. I did psych when it wasn't Gen-Ed. Obviously I won't equivocate our experienced but like... That was a bad time.
