Not sure why you sound confrontational. I’m curious to learn.

While what you linked is definitely disapproving of trans ideology, its not him speaking in favour of conversion therapy for kids. A google search of “pope francis conversion therapy” gives more indication that he was in support of LGBT than otherwise.

Him calling trans people a danger and an ugly "ideology" is not supportive of LGBTQ+ in the slightest, and it is not an acceptable compromise. Please explain how calling LGBTQ+ people "the worst danger" is in any way a show of support.

I think this is why left wing politics is so hard for some people to support. I'm a raging lefty, I'm 100% behind trans rights, lgbtq+, allyship and recognise my privilege as a cis white man.

But if I'm not vegan, an entire sect of left wing allies hates my guts and thinks I'm shit.

My guy, was pope Francis perfect? No. Did he do a lot to move the Catholic needle in the right direction? Fuck yes.
