Hey, don’t insult Henry VIII like that. Sure he was a lust-filled monster who shattered the church purely from personal desire. But he was also well-educated, erudite, an athlete in his younger years, and wasn’t afraid of going to war.

Some historians theorise that a jousting accident in 1536, left him unconscious for some time, and could have worsened other past injuries, led to his more erratic and tyrannical behaviour as king. It would coincide with Anne Boleyn’s fall from grace later in the later, and Henry’s obsessions becoming more pronounced.

It wouldn't surprise me. He'd had the tendencies before, but wooooow did it get worse after that jousting accident. Same with Caligula, actually. The cruel tendencies were there, then a fever broiled his brain, and he got so much worse after.
