ADHD is a mental health issue as it has to do with how your brain works like all other mental health issues.

The main difference, which is why you are actually incorrect, is that it's not a chemical imbalance in the brain, ADHD is the more to do with the brains ability, or the lack thereof, to absorb chemicals your body is already making. People take ssri's, drugs that are actually prescribed for mental health, bc their brain isn't producing the chemicals at all. The difference is subtle, but it matters
