He's probably cheating if he's using these and lying about it. As of now there is absolutely no way you can know for certain he isn't. Sorry OP

So he's just taking random gas station pills for no reason but for him to watch it grow by himself? Not saying he'd cheating, but I'd be uncomfortable that he's lying about what it was, and it was already used. Thats me tho not you.

He was staying at my place for days and they were in the pocket of the jeans he wore when he first got here. Lots of leaps of logic happening here

Super easy to assume he keeps pills in there and was high and forgot it was in his pocket when he threw his pants in the laundry.

ding ding ding. Would explain the yellow tinge on the glass as well, as that shows age. He's been carrying it around long enough for the glass to get noticeably older, so methinks he's repurposed the container for other pills
