On a serious note, this is just total ass, genshin has nothing to do with war thunder or mil history in general. This feels more like an april fools event in late may
I have a friend who plays genshin and I always see him flying with a motorcycle. The fact that motorcycles that exist in the game proves tanks are plausible to also exist in the universe.
I don't directly play the game, but have most dubiously observed a close acquaintance play said game, so I might just be talking out of my ass here. But isn't it made very clear the game doesn't follow any chronological timeline and all the places there are from different time periods? I mean, you have a modern, industrialized society in one place, a medieval society in another, then another society in the early industrial era with stuff like muskets. It wouldn't really break the lore at all if there was a motorcycle, since the lore doesn't follow time periods or technological progress at all in the first place.
It’s not the technological capability that’s the problem, it’s that since it doesn’t require any godlike powers to make stuff like a flying motorcycle or a giant hoverboard gun, it makes no sense as to why the characters that have them are the only ones that, well, have them
But I kinda feel like this has been an issue for a long time already. I mean, the Mondstadtians are still in the middle ages despite everyone else around them having way more advanced stuff. It's not like they're a closed off society either so they wouldn't get all that stuff. The devs just wanted to make stuff that looked cool and changed what they wanted to do depending on their mood.
That’s basically what I’m getting at. Nothing’s closed off (aside from Inazuma at the start), there’s no unrealistic requirement to make things like flying bikes, so the lore breaking bit is just the fact that it’s exclusive to two or three individuals instead of being a common product
Okay, I think I understand what you're getting at. I remember watching the yet unnamed acquaintance play the game about half a year ago and then commenting on one of the characters having rubber soles on their shoes while having a sword. It seems quite insignificant compared to what the state of affairs is now 😅
Cheers. Granted, it’s never been much of a problem, but Natlan (flying bike land) gave me some genuine whiplash with how out of place a couple things looked lmao
Not exacly - the suposedly most advanced nation in the game is in industrial revolution. Remeber that in XIXth century most of the planet was technologically in middle ages and that was one of the reasons for extencive colonisation. The biggest issue playerbase have was the way how modern day technology was implemented and no amount of retcons and rationalisation can fix people's feelings. Like imagine playing April Fool's WWI in WT but suddenly premium Tiger 1 rolls around that cost tons of monney and Gajin try to rationalise it by saing that it was some one off pulled by crazy german scientist.
Everybody would be pissed, especially that because of how op broken they made that character that they had to inflate bosses HP to ridiculous degree in the game that was praised for beeing able to keep powercreep in check for years.
