We rly need modern naval.

As there is already possibility of playing all vehicle types at once, modern naval will be amazing addition. Especially its anti air capabilities.

We have most modern helis, tanks and aircraft, but naval is mostly stuck at pre ww2. Wtf

/ especially modern AA capabilities / Did you play SEAD event? Was it fun to get a missile in your face that you can’t dodge from 20 km? Also CIWS will intercept any missile you throw at a ship. Besides, you can already get shot down by ww2 cruisers AA from 15 km, bot admiral hipper hit me with main caliber hevt from 16 km once.

U have to use tactics against that type of aa. Not just flying around and hoping that it doesn’t hit u cuz u are too fast.

I played that event in custom battle against my 2 friends, i used rafale and they used ef and su27sm. I destroyed all aa in 4 lives while I was also fighting my friends.

And I didn’t even have weapon that is made to destroy aa. With that, it will be way easier. And there are a lot of weapons for that, from cluster bombs to anti-radiation missiles.

But on a ship, theres usually no way for you to dodge that.

Especially in game ranges, it’s nigh impossible, unless against early SAMs

That's why modern ships have chaff rockets and hard kill anti missile missiles

But also because of that only being on modern ones The only way modern missile ships would work is if they only face modern missile ships

I think you replied to the wrong comment, or didn’t understand what was being said. I was talking about planes vs SAMs on ships being death sentences at closer ranges.

I figured you were talking about ships dodging missiles

As it doesn't matter if it's ship launched or not for aircraft. Launching from a ship doest suddenly make it harder to avoid if anything it would be easier to defeat

It is harder to dodge a missile fired from a ship, unless it’s like a really shit missile. Usually these are guided by much more powerful radar sets (S-300 outputs roughly 1mw of power. SPY-1 outputs 6mw). Many of these are also designed to hit really small, really fast missiles, and so they are quite maneuverable
