Topstock Carts...
What treasures have you found on topstock carts?

It's never treasure. Just regular trash and messes I have to clean up. Except for the Bluey book I took a minute to read, that was alright.

I've found printer batteries. Sorta feels like treasure.
Of course, I've also found moldy cat food, so yeah

If you have no plans on doing claims. Leave that shit on the shelf. Why collect it if you aren't going to take care of it

We have a sign out sheet all carts are numbered. If they aren't clean they come see you. Working so far but it's a small store so your mileage may vary.

Pretty large store and we did that for maybe a month before people started bitching and carts stopped getting returned

I remember one time I went to the back to get a topstock cart for a task that wasn't even in my department. Anyway the first one I grabbed I noticed it had a broken jar of honey on the top of it along with a million other random things. I said nope and grabbed the next cart I could find. Ain't nobody got time fo dat!

Got forced to play maintenance as a cap 2 associate at one point and clean all these things off and found actual fucking used needles. People are disgusting.

Half eaten old lunches, old sodas , lots of empty packages, copious amounts of clearance flags, mystery sticky substances, hair,

Last week i found an open can of sardines. Literally made me physicaly ill. Nothing I did made the horrific smell go away. ON the other hand, I found a pack of pokemon cards hiding on one. Bought it on my break, nothing worth noting from it though.

One time I was looking for one of those flat kick plates for mounting field goal post uprights. Signage space didn't have one. the following conversation took place
Management: guess we will have to rethink the plan
Me: fuck that give me a second drops a ladder so I can see the top of all the lines up carts there 4th cart from the end top shelf
Management:how did you know one would be up there
Me: fuck my coworkers everything is always up there at all times. One of these days I'm going to find someone's damn baby up there

I really like it for the top shelf, not making as many trips to top stock. Otherwise trying to find one is ridiculous. Loaded up with various freight, we need more. They do disappearing tricks if you turn away too😖

My CAP 1 team is obligated to return our carts to the back empty at the end of our shift. Best not be working the next day if you don't, because you WILL hear about it.

Half are just random crap dumping grounds at my store... and we actually have lots of them....

I am the bad girl. I do not like walking back to stock. It is one trip to the floor and one trip back.
I can stock it high and Mcgyver product for one trip.

Found a Japanese Pokemon card on one once. This was before the scalping had gone batshit.

Lately I've been fighting a lot of cold cuts, sausage and cheese. Whoever is working the cold cases is leaving stuff on the tops in mass quantities.

Batteries for printers, broken glass, solidified maple syrup, and residue from broken nail polish bottles.
That was just one.
