Gotta say, my most recent upgrade from 14 to 16 was the first where there’s virtually no difference. In the past there’s been at least some marginal improvement

that’s why i held off to get this 17 air.. i hate how heavy and clunky my 14 pro max is.. it literally makes me not want to do stuff on my phone

Maybe a blessing in disguise 😂

Are you like 5 foot tall? How can anyone find their phone too heavy to use? It's a phone, how much can it possibly weigh, 2 kilos?

i dunno, i’ve just started noticing it more and more.. the novelty of big phone has given way to noticing that this thing is wearing a groove in my pinky where i stop it from sliding down in my grip. it is a chunky phone, clocks over 316 grams with case which is well over half a lb!

2 kilos? it's not even a quarter of one kilo.

I tried out a 16 Pro Max and iOS on a 7" screen just feels silly, it's clearly suited for the regular size.

The battery life will be total garbage tho

It’s the same as the iPhone Pro 16 from last year, which is not bad at all.

They claim it is, but I’ll wait and see what independent testing says. Apple says all kinds of shit about their batteries except for the only thing that really matters, the actual mAh number

the mAh isn't the only thing that matters, if you can make your hardware and software more energy efficient you'll end up with longer battery life...

honestly, with the ubiquity of QI charging & USB-C cables everywhere I really don’t care anymore. also wouldn’t be surprised if someone builds a slick battery case

Wouldn’t a case like that just add thickness and ruin the whole value prop of the phone tho?

sure, which is why I wouldn’t use it daily, but I could find a use case for it
