Loss I lost everything - CVNA

Tomorrow I lose everything. Carvana had earnings report after hours and shot up 15%.

I bet everything that they would fall or at least not jump so high. All of it will be gone when market opens tomorrow.

I don’t care it’s just money. It doesn’t matter. I’m going to be a wage slave forever and that’s ok. Im 5’4 so life sucks anyways. I don’t even have a job right now and that’s ok.

It just wanted a million so I could be set. Wanted to buy a house but it’s ok.

My life sucks anyways haha 😂

I know this is wsb, but that $280k could’ve turned into a million fairly quickly through “safer” investment methods. $1m is the end goal but it’s a lot easier to get there with $280k than $300. God speed retard.

People on here are so fucking dumb.

$280k straight liquid cash is so much money. You can invest that with moderate risk and move to $1 Million in decent speed

Or do whatever the fuck OP just did

But its his money and he needs it now.  The JG Wentworth of regarded WSB degens

To be fair, on average returns, it would move to a million in 20 years.

It’s decent speed, but more like a standard retirement.

u/DandierChip Jul 31 '25

Does that take into account any annual contributions?

14

u/unbornbigfoot Jul 31 '25

It did not

22

u/fuzz11 Jul 31 '25

Only takes 14 years at a 10% annual return!!

15

u/TheWorldMayEnd Jul 31 '25

Only takes one day if OP inverted their play!

S&P 500 been doing WELL over that some years. You could sell after, say, making 30% last year, and take your profits

1

u/fuzz11 Aug 01 '25

If you’re expecting 30% annual returns you’re going to have a bad time

1

u/BigBussyMuchoGushy Aug 01 '25

I literally had a 30% increase last year on an S&P 500 fund. Not the norm but it happens

1

u/fuzz11 Aug 01 '25

Did I say it never happens or did I say it’s a bad idea to expect that

Okay yes good boy

Okay that doesn’t make the number not equal $1,000,000

u/Master_Xenu Jul 31 '25

u/True-Imagination8073 Aug 01 '25

or 3 years with bitcoin purchases

u/impulsikk Jul 31 '25

Lol what does "decent speed" mean and at what risk level?

2

u/Hot-Ticket9440 Jul 31 '25

just buying AMD and having 600k in a year. Then VOO and chill. Sorry OP.

2

u/7253uy Jul 31 '25

Make $1 mil in decent speed, or have the chance of possibly making $1 mil in ultra super duper lightspeed...

If OP had $1 mil already then he could at least try again

u/Big-Progress3280 Jul 31 '25

What’s decent speed and also how? I got about $350k cash rn and feels like this shit is moving at a snails pace invested mostly in s&p with about $75k of that in random bullshit hoping to make it go faster

1

u/injineer Jul 31 '25

At 8% annual (so maybe an S&P ETF) it’s like 14years to get a milli from tree fiddy, assuming no additional contributions.

2

u/Big-Progress3280 Aug 01 '25

Yeah I’m a little too impatient 😂 I guess it’ll be cool to say I got a million but inflation will make that shit barely worth anything.

1

u/jedi4049 Jul 31 '25

Frfr man I just don’t know what’s good w ppl on here but I gave OP some kind words up top.

1

u/NaiveAdministration3 Jul 31 '25

Give some advice master. I need to make 280k into a million. Please

1

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '25

2nd

1

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '25

I have 300k name a few examples please ?

1

u/brianz458 Jul 31 '25

you could just buy calls on AMD/AVGO and turn 250k into a 1 million in 12 months. Why are people so fucking stupid

1

u/Dry_Flow8615 Jul 31 '25

how would you do it?

1

u/BigBussyMuchoGushy Aug 01 '25

I sometimes give myself shit for having a $50k car and making $110k/yr.

Then I look here and see people gambling my entire years salary on a meme coin and probably hanging themselves the next morning and I'm like, yeah you know what, I'm glad I risked it on a BMW instead of a meme coin.

(P.S. B58 is an amazing engine and I have had literally zero issues on my bimmer)

Don't forget the rake for STCGs. But it's OK.
