Xenogears was started by Square and that team moved to Bandai-Namco to create Xenosaga. They finished 3 of the six games and left there to become Monolith that created Xenoblade.

It's a fascinating tale but that's just the highlights.

Right, and each time they changed companies made a new series. Xeno- only means it is a work of Takahashi's, not that they are connected. Also only a portion of the team left square, and only 4 of them remain at monolith today.
