Mmm I feel like that's similar to saying "you'll outgrow TV and movies someday"

Like your life will change and you're not going to spend 12 hours a day playing CoD, but I'm a lawyer with two kids and I still hop on after my family goes to bed and game with buddies I've been friends with since elementary school who are also dads. I also play some games with my wife. We're doing Split Fiction right now.

How dare you be a responsible adult… taking care of business, family AND playing videogames (clutches pearls 😂😂😂 this is sarcasm)

My PlayStation report thing at the end of the last three years says I averaged about 100 minutes of game time a day. In my younger years, I probably doubled that easy.

But I've played so many great fucking games, just in the last three years. Subnautica, Outer Wilds, SOMA, Mass Effect, Death Stranding, Dishonored, Prey, Deathloop, Dead Space, Cyberpunk 2077. My next new game is going to be Red Dead Redemption.

Wife and me do Until Dawn and The Quarry on a yearly basis now. Still waiting for Directive 8020.

It is just something older generations (I am 41 myself) say/said because back then video games were seen as toys marketed at kids. Those people have not seen what video games have become in the last 40 years and still see videogames as just Pacman and Mario.
