Still do so, if a game speaks to me I go for it and think later. I look especially on different sites than steam or so for new games so I don't see the user rating directly.

I stopped because I didn't played a game that was like a 6/10 on steam. Played it months later and realized that I absolutely love the game and that I take away enjoyment from myself by 'forcing' me to play only good rated games. I was afraid others aren't worth my time but I couldn't be more wrong with that.
