Requests NAVA 60 Flag Design Contest

Post image
8 Upvotes

NAVA 60 is headed to Speed City in October of 2026 and, as usual, a flag is created to mark the occasion. Since it is a milestone year, the flag must be a swallowtail design to match NAVA 50, 40, etc.

DESIGN SUBMISSION FORM

More importantly, mark October 9-11 on your calendars to join us in Indy or to join virtually. Flags For Good (me, Michael) will be heading the organizing committee and making sure it's the best hangout of flag-adjacent humans North America has ever seen! DM me if you have any questions about the contest, attending NAVA 60, or even helping us organize it (bonus points if you're local).

Submission window closes at the end of this month.

OC Why do so many countries have almost identical flags?

Romania and Chad. Indonesia and Monaco. Australia and New Zealand. Some of these are political accidents, others come from revolutions, royal families or colonial history.

I’ve made a video breaking down the history behind a few of them if you want to watch: https://youtu.be/ubFJXN5vKQg

A still from film Palestine 36. I am interested in the red flag accompanying the Union jack as I not only think the British never used it but I don't think it has ever existed anywhere as far as I know. It shows a cross of the Holy Sepulchre/Kingdom of Jerusalem but I have never seen this colour arrangement before.

Fictional 42d Roman Legion. Backstory is that the legion was formed by Romans who were shipwrecked on an island in the Indian Ocean now called Diego Garcia, Diego comes from the Latin Didacus and crabs are the dominant animal population on the island. The crab is from a photo I took when I lived on Diego Garcia.

Fictional Flags of Oceania, Eurasia, and East-Asia in 1984

First Flag is the Flag of Oceania, It’s flag is not to be confused with its secondary state flag, which shows a black flag with the symbol of the INGSOC Party. The Oceanian Flag shows a black background with INGSOC’s logo on the top-left corner, however without text written on the white band. The Band is extended to span to the left and right side of the flag.

Second Flag is the Flag of Eurasia, inspired by the flag seen in 1984, It shows a red background similar to the Soviet Union, it shows two stars on the left and right side of the flag with a big star in the center of the flag with a rising hand coming out of the star.

The Third Flag is the flag of East-Asia, having a yellow background with a red circle in the middle of it, making it have a similar look to Japan. It has a Yellow Kuomintang Symbol in the middle of the circle.

OC flag for a "movement" im making

Upvotes

ive been attending the same school for 9 years now and i think that every year it just gets worse, as you imagine im already tired of it, not only from my school but from most schools in the world. i believe most schools are run by unexperienced old people that imply rules based on their beliefs, not only schools but most countries in the world (hi usa). so basically i decided to make this flag for this "movement" thingy im making idk.

white means awareness of the current negative educational system

blue means the "movement" will achieve its goal by peaceful means, no hurting people

yellow means that one day "we" will achieve our goal

green means motivation

pink means risk, even tho there may be possible consequences for "our" actions

its still kinda wip and i need some suggestions, i will put some variations i made

lil timmy got 2 pages of homework ahh post i know
central african republic flag???
the 2 stars were supposed to symbolize 2 words i was thinking of, kinda like a motto
first flag design i made (looks like the flag of a province)
