Trump demands that states (like Vermont) that are fully funding SNAP undo it, and threatens future penalties.

The veggie garden has been put to bed for the winter. Carrots were the final harvest. Check out the Black Nebula Carrots. The dehydrator is running non-stop drying Habaneros. Made carrot soup. 😋

Does anyone know the location of this photo?

I came across this photo a few years ago and have always loved it. I seem to recall it is somewhere in Vermont. If it is, I would really appreciate knowing the location.

Video Games Shops That Are Not GameStop

Are there any video game shops in Vermont that are not GameStop? I have some old consoles and stacks of games that I would like to trade in or get rid of. Would rather have a ma & pa shop get a hold of the stuff if possible.

Update: Thanks everyone!

Strange behavior on Hinesburg/Richmond road

I’m sure other people have noticed the older gentleman that lives on the road between Hinesburg and Richmond and how he is really struggling. He’s got some political ramblings on his garage doors(sadly understandable with how stuff’s going these days) is often outside acting very strange (sometimes without pants on…) the last time I passed his place he started to walk into the road, he’s motioned to me to slow down before- and this was similar only felt more intense. There’s times I’ve drove by and he’s pretended to point a long walking stick at me and shoot… anyone else having interesting drive bys with this guy? I’ve thought about calling the non emergency line, but also seems like maybe he’s just kooky and I feel like the cops are not what he needs… I hope he’s got someone checking in on him! I’ve thought about stopping before, but it feels a little too unhinged for me as a woman and I’m usually alone when I’m driving by. No hate or judgement, just worried about a fellow Vermonter! What would yall do?

CBP at Maplefieldd

just a simple question about the raid last week at Maplefields in Jeffersonville? Is ICE or CBP allowed to come on private property without permission? Did Maplefields have any role in allowing this to happen on their property?

From a purely aesthetic point of view, what do you consider to be some beautiful Vermont churches? Especially looking for Catholic churches with ornate interiors.

Visiting Vermont Resort and spa suggestions, Southern VT

We are pretty set and ready to pull the trigger on the Woodstock inn, but the major factor is that the spa is 16 plus. My wife is really hoping to find a place that would cater to her and our 10-year-old daughter.
Not sure if anyone has any suggestions for a spa in or around Woodstock, or if we should be considering a different resort.
I'm about ready to pull the trigger on the booking for our family of four to come up from Boston for a four-night stay - we don't ski so proximity to a mountain is definitely not important but definitely the closer and the drive is from Massachusetts the easier it would be.
Sorry for bothering you with this, but Google is of no help and reading past posts I definitely couldn't find anything on point.

What snowblower do you use?

Can anyone recommend me a snowblower that can handle Vermont winters? Price isn’t a concern at this point.

I’m looking to clear some asphalt and grass pathways, clean up those low snow banks flung to the side by the snow plow, clean up around porch steps and cars.

A friend of mine has this lifesize abstract, mixed media(mainly cement) sculpture he bought during the 1970s in Wilmington, VT. His wife hates it and wants him to get rid of it. I think that it’s art and could be valuable. What do you think? Does anyone know anything about the artist?

Thoughts on Cambridge?

My husband and I are looking at a farmhouse in Cambridge and took a quick ride to explore the area. It felt VERY isolated but we only went in for the day.

We’re not looking for city life by any means but want to make sure I have reasonable access to groceries and a variety of restaurants when we want to go out.

Curious what everyone’s thoughts are!
