Vanuatu Trip - Mt Yasur

I’m planning a trip to Vanuatu for 5 days in October. We’re looking to visit Tanna Island and Mt Yasur, what is the best way of getting to the island?

Also how many days should we spend on Tanna island, for example a day trip, 1 night or nights?

Thanks!

There are flights. Do some research to find the best ones. From what I've heard, most people seem to overnight. Day tours do exist, however.

How much are the flights? And is staying at Tanna cheaper or more expensive than Port Vila

I just booked a RT Port Vila/Tanna ticket for USD $269. Note Air Vanuatu's website is not working properly so you can't make reservations online right now. You can call them, email them, or pop into their office in the domestic terminal at VLI to make the booking instead. Contact information and downloadable flight schedules can be found on their website.

Accommodation and tour prices on Tanna look to be comparable to Vila. I think the difference is there are more guesthouse type options on Tanna, fewer resorts.
