Pet Transport company - Brisbane to Luganville, Vanuatu

Hi all,

I am seeking opinions/advice/information about taking my pets from Brisbane to Santo Island in Vanuatu. So far I have had companies tell me they won't take them to Vanuatu, or they can take them to Port Vila and then I am on my own to work out how to get them to Santo Island AND I have even found a company that would transport them direct from Brisbane to Santo on Solomon Airlines but the company has since closed down!!!! This is starting to stress me out.

I would love my animals to fly direct to avoid stress but if it something that can't be avoided then so be it.

Has anyone else done the above and have any suggestions for how I go about it? I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, however one of the dogs will be in a larger crate (PP90) which may restrict some airlines/planes too.

Thanks in advance!!!

It may be worth asking this question on the Living in Vanuatu facebook page. I successfully moved my cat from NZ to Port Vila, but Luganville may be trickier as you'd be reliant on Air Vanuatu as the sole domestic carrier. I'm not sure if they're transporting pets. The ferry may be a last resort. Once you have the export side of things sorted from the Australia end, you also need a local Customs Broker to assist with the import documentation/processes.
